| You've probably seen these. But how the heck do you "charge them up" prior to firing? Look what costco wrought- three of these puppies for under $15. Each one has twenty, "hurt you bright" LED's. NO IDEA of the rating power, or spectrum. But a good deal is a good deal, so, let's play a bit! Real GLASS domes, paper-thin. Pry it apart at the seam, and watch your fingers, because you'll NEED them later. This is forty of them, enough for this project... Soldering jig. Thank you, Mr. ShopBot. Spares! you shouldn't have. OMG...He's building a DeathStar! Mondo D-cells can power this, because it's for a stationary gun. Bright Light, BRIGHT LIGHT!!! Now, an UMP install, 10 cheapo LED's in the magazine. Five LED's down each side, as you can see, an UMP mag has room to get pretty crazy with. There is room for three times this many LED's- if you went with GOOD ones, I bet you could make a respectable tracer unit with it. Connector for power input. Note how the cabling is routed with dots of ABS glue. Questions? | |

| Very nice but how do you conceal the first tracer unit you made using parts from shopbot? Is it small enough to easily slide into a stubby silencer? | |

| The "Starchamber" ended up inside the trommelmag I made for my UMP. It's at the top inside a shroud here. Here's some fun: See it in 3D: Cross your eyes enough to see "three pics", then focus on the "center" one-this will pop into 3D! | |

| So are you stuck aiming a gun with a kink in your neck? I just went four-eyes, pushing 50, so vision is kinda important to me. I had a boss with a glass eye once. Drove his poor Mazda like a madman, like he hated it really bad. I rode with him to a meeting once, and got out of the car, white as a sheet.
A buddy walks up and says: "Hey, you know that guy ain't got no Death Perception". | |
