| I have about $300 to spend on a BASR. I have basically two options: 1. Get a TM VSR, spending most of my budget, and put up with low fps and iron sights for a while. 2. Get a clone VSR, and have more money left to upgrade performance by getting a better barrel, bucking or whatever. As I'm sure you're aware, the clones often come with scopes and rails. I guess I'll also have to put $15 aside for some high quality BBs too. What should I do?? | |

| Get a JG Bar10 or a VSR 10 they are basically the same except JG has unreliable quality control but is cheaper. The VSR10 is exactly the same as the JG Bar10 just better quality control and is more expensive. The JG would be the best one in your situation because like you said they leave you with money to upgrade and buy good BBs. plus with your extra money you could buy some decent camo or make a ghillie(if you haven't already) Good Luck | |

| I see.
Follow up question:
Is sniping with iron sights viable?
I'd rather spend extra for TM reliability, and wait a few months till I can afford a decent scope and mount, than have to go replacing internals almost straight away.

| Oh "Watch your language" yes I did it for a long time when skirmishing with my friends and it worked very well. but when you get a good JG bar 10 with the scope and you get a good scope rail and buy a TBB and clean the Hopup youll get 420-430 FPS with .28s and only be paying $206 | |

| Next step then is actually finding a UK retailer that has the Bar-10 in stock, and does two tone (I'll spray it once I have UKARA. Such an annoying law). They seem to be in short supply atm.
Is it best to buy the bar-10 with a scope and mount, or get them seperately?

| Does airsoft GI sell to the UK? Hmmm I wonder...... If they do you could just paint it yourself. and it is best to buy the scope package usually cause its cheaper than buying separate. | |

| I take it the scope is decent then?
UK law is really annoying. I'm not allowed to even buy the gun if it is not two tone. I can legally paint it od or whatever after I become UKARA registered.

| I'm 18, but you also need to go to a site 3 times, and I've only played once with friends (was enough to get me hooked though ) Anyway, Glad to hear the scope is good. It'll all come down to what I can find really. If I find a Bar-10 + Scope for sale online in the next few days I'll pick one up, otherwise, I'll get a vsr and use iron sights for till I can afford a scope. | |
