| There are already several topics that speak about the L96, so please look around the forum first. I personally own the UTG L96. It's been a great gun and even after putting several thousand rounds through it it still shoots like when I first bought it. It can get pretty expensive if you're looking for a gun to upgrade, but it still is a great gun stock. I love it, but honestly I'd recommend the JG bar-10 over it. If you're talking high-end L96 versions, then there are several VERY nice choices (i.e. Maruzen). How much are you wanting to spend? | |

| Well im looking for something around 200 or under. I would rather have to upgrade a gun then spend 400 dollars on one. And yea i was looking at the VSR-10 G-SPEC and the JG bar-10 so im trying to figure out which would be the least costly in the long run. | |

Not a bad idea, and I understand your hesitation to upgrade - I'm the same way. However, the JG Bar-10 is very easy, and very FREE, to upgrade. Maybe you've seen the Do-it-yourself guide in our upgrades section? Well, even if you're not interested, the UTG L96 is still a great beginners gun, so you'll be happy either way!

| Correct me if I am wrong makyong, Guns with this kind of Power are used quite often in games in the Philippines, From what I have come to understand from contacts and fellow players there, it is common to have the Field filled with players using AirSoft rifles all tuned over the 2 Joule level. The Airsoft Community in the Phillippines is one of the most well organized, Structured, and disiplined communities in the world. Their Events are Top of the Line, most by Invitation Only, Mil-Sims that go for days reguardless of wind, weather. As far as Battle Scars go, I don´t think any of us here would enter into one of their `` Mercy´´ games. | |

| Oh , I think that I know what you have to do to get out , either pass out or scream mercy . Tough people , and great airsofters those Phillipeans . | |

| Think Twice A-S, alot of the players leave the field a bloddy mess !!!
There are rules as to what you are allowed to wear, Saftey Glasses are of course madatory, Usualy it is played in T-shirts, normal Pants, no Blue Jeans, No Gloves, and there is no minimum safe engagement range.

| sir slob 212:
all youve said is true and correct.. an ill take it as a compliment..thank you..
one of the REASONS (sounds stupid though) why we tune our rifle so powerful and accurate is to throw those stubborn players with IRON SKIN out of the game...
