Fort Hood

today, november 5th 2009 a soldier on Fort Hood military base went into a medical clinic used to prepare soldiers for deployment and shot and killed 12 soldiers and wounded 31 more. He was using 2 pistols at the time. it was a 13:30 or 1:30pm. in texas. Thats all the infrormation as of now, more will come as anyone gets it. Please put prayers out to the dead and wounded and their families along with all of the civilians and military on Fort Hodd military base.

huh, they released his name major. Malik Nadal Hasan, he sounds foreign but im not sure.

and zulu, were not supposed to just forget. these guys need help, a soldier snaps and this happens. we can't turn a blind side to them. that is why they do this sometimes.

This is just sad and unfortunate.

but they did say he was from illinois i believe, but muslim heritage possibly? he was a mental health major in the army.

Whats wierd is I don't think his ethnicy had anything to deal with it though. Being a major means you have been in the army for a while.

It could have simply been a proven fact that when humans are under large amounts of stress...in this case preparing a company for deployment he could have just "snapped".

My take, we don't know the facts, we cannot read his mind...just pray for the 12 dead/31 wounded. If there is mass hysteria about it being some sort of terrorist related incident...then I would ignore that source/person.

Did you hear about the hundreds of people who died in Africa? No? Or are we just numb to their problems? We only hear about what the "associated press" thinks we want to hear about.

yea the sad part about africa is we tried and failed so our gov't kind of threw a blanket over Africa and we don't hear anything except what private journalists bring back.
