Strong Side

An extremely comon PB tactic and one of my personal favorites ask any WARPIG and theyll probally tell you i use it to death . Heres some simple diagrams explaining it.

In all seriousness though, what is the specific significance of this tactic? Does the fact that they're coming from the side as opposed to anywhere else relate?

No its modified for AS you see you send maybe a DM and a rifleman or 2 on the one side and every other player on the other smahing them to pieces.

I've always favored a WWII-style pincer attack with two attack teams circling around and overwhelming the objective.

Common sense, no?

One would hope so - usually you'd use a smaller team to draw their attention, then hit 'em with a lot of folks on the other side.
You'd be surprised how many times it works.

Protip, this is referred to a fireteam(or other unit size) flank in the military world. It can be very effective if done correctly. On a large field this is much easier than said. Having to judge how far out to flank is a crucial component. If you flank to wide the lines may have changed and you may find yourself sitting in the middle of a central firefight, to close and you may get spotted...

If you want to pull this off effectively you need to practice this allot!
