I've been meaning to do this for a couple of weeks, but just now got around to it. Pics of all my gear, which consists of:
Jungle boots (got for free from Jackofalltrades, thanks again LT)
TruSpec MARPAT TRU
MARPAT boonie cap
Arena FlakJak goggles (TAN)
T-shirt or turtle fur to cover face when it's cold
black gloves
Project Xenon patch (designed by TechGeek001, nice work CPT)
Hatch Centurion kneepads
Interceptor vest; shoulder pauldrons, neck guard, and groin protector removed. Mag pouches can hold 1 AK mag or 2 AR mags each.
holster
cheap CO2 Ruger, and cheaper spring UZI
Softair/Cybergun AK-47 Spetsnaz with RIS laser and homemade silencer
The orange tip on this model of AK isn't removable unless you break it off from the metal flash hider that it's molded to. I don't want to get caught without one, and I don't want to be neon-orange during skirmishes, so I needed something I could slide over the barrel to make it more stealthy and tacticool. What better than a mock (well, mostly mock) silencer?
To make mine I used some foam from my AEG box, some duct tape, a 10mm plastic tube, salvaged from the mock silencer that came with my UZI, and a piece of 1.5" black PVC pipe. The pipe cost me around $6 for a 10' section, which was somewhat challenging for me to fit in my old Subaru. If you make the silencer shorter than I did, you won't need the small plastic tube, but you could probably improvise one out of a plastic bottle.
The small tube is in lieu of a barrel extension, and needs to be much larger than 6mm inner diameter to lessen the chance of BBs hitting the tube and losing accuracy. Ideally, every BB will travel through the barrel, and down the center of the tube without ever touching it, but you need the tube to keep that odd BB from impacting foam or duct tape and destroying the front end of your silencer.
First, cut your desired silencer length from your PVC pipe.
Next, you'll need to make or find a 1.5" (the inner diameter of the pipe) template to draw circles on your foam. The broken UZI silencer just happened to have an outer diameter of 1.5", so I used that.
Draw circles in pen or marker on your foam. Draw them on the inside of the box so you don't run into any ridges. You want nice discs, not odd-shaped pieces. Use a small, thin knife to cut the discs out of the foam. I used the smaller knife of a swiss army knife.
Cut out enough discs to completely fill your section of pipe. They should fit very tight inside the pipe.
Now, measure the diameter of your outer barrel that you need to cover.
If you have a drill and a drill bit large enough, it is much easier to simply put the foam discs in the pipe and drill down the center, starting with a small drill bit and working your way up to the size you need while staying straight down the center. This was the case for my 10mm tube. I didn't have a bit large enough for my outer barrel.
For a large outer barrel, you'll need to take some of your foam discs and use a template to draw a circle the size of your outer barrel, centered on the disc. Cut these discs in half, then use that small knife again to cut the inside out of the disc, creating two C-shaped pieces that can come together to make an O-shaped piece.
Wrap your outer barrel tightly with duct tape, sticky side OUT. Put your C-shaped pieces onto the sticky barrel. Slide the pipe onto the foam-covered outer barrel.
Once both the outer barrel end and the plastic tube end are assembled inside the pipe, secure the ends with duct tape. The mock silencer will be semi-waterproof. Fine to use in the rain and damp underbrush.
Edit: Here's what mine looks like:
