Getting Lit Up Sucks

Yesterday, I was playing CQB with a rented Long M4. The field is basically a small warehouse with lots and lots and lots of plywood set up to replicate an urban environment. There are four main sections; the Bizaar, the House, the Mousetrap, and the Apartments, with a few small "phone booths" and some cars set up also. I was airsofting on a team with four 6th Graders who had never played before. I was hiding behind a car with two of the little anklebiters. I said to one of them "Cover me while I move up to Papa Bravo Four (Phone Booth Four)." I said to other one "When I am done moving up, take your friend and move back to the apartments to regroup." I began moving up, and of course, one of the little fools followed me. We got to Papa Bravo Four unharmed. Now, this is where the story takes a fun turn. It is often very warm in the warehouse that we play in, and sweat gets in your eyes constantly. Full face masks are required on the field. So, my little accomplice began to try to rub his eyes on the field, meaning he began to take off his mask on the field. At the same time I saw him doing this, I saw movement in the bizaar. I threw the little tard into the Phone Booth and attempted to shield his face with my body while calling out "Contact in the Bizaar". This drew the attention of the contact in the bizaar, who had a rifle that spit out 25-30 rounds per second. needles to say, my fatigues now have somewhere between 60 to 70 6mm-sized blood stains on them. It is also needless to say that the kid got a thorough ass-chewing by the field's owner. Why must the little ones continually piss me off with their safety violations? Why?

I mean, the wounds aren't bad, but it really sucks that I had to get hit because some little retard forgot about his safety lecture.

yeah, I got that with some 6th grader once, makes me mad, AND on my field!
