| Here's a question: what type of socks do you wear with your boots? Regular white cotton isn't seeming to cut it for me for longer games. | |

I bought some USMC-issue padded boot socks from a site... I think it's called soldier city. Always stick with Mil-Spec. Those socks will survive a nuclear holocaust if you treat 'em right. | |

| I went looking on my own and found these. Links are always appreciated. I'm more concerned with performance than price. Are these the ones you were talking about Jarhead? edit: just realized those are the same product lol

| Yeah, those are the ones! The ones I was issued by my SMI were a size Medium, haha. He didn't realize I wear a size 12, haha. Be sure to get the right size, Omega. If you don't, those socks will be nothing but trouble. The socks my SMI issued me ended about mid-foot, and I had to use them for a good three months until he gave me the authorization to buy bigger ones. Woohoo, new socks! (grins contentedly) | |

| I didn't see anything on either of those sites about size translation. I wear a shoe size 9 or so (yeah, yeah, I've got small feet, I know, but you should see the size of my ****), so would I want a medium? | |

| Umm, I'd say a Large. Every person in my platoon was issued mediums, and they seem to work okay for 7s and 8s, so you may wish to try a large first. If they are a little big and you don't wish to return them, just wear a pair of regular socks underneath. That's what a lot of the guys who wear a size small sock do. | |
