| Saw it Friday morning before the snow storm hit the east cost. Absolutely an amazing movie, i'm probably going to go see it again sometime after Christmas. Definitely a movie that can give Star Trek a run for it's money for best movie of the year. | |

| Yeah the new 3D is way way way better then the old red and blue 3D which of course sucked and hardly did anything except give you a headache. | |

| I think this method of 3D can only be see in theaters because it operates off of 2 seperate projectors. The point is that one lens is polarized to allow only one light source from one projector, while the other allows only the light source from the other projector. Its quite ingenious. Popular Mechanics did an article explaining it in their latest article...I might scan it to show you guys. Id be interested to see how the DVD sales go, considering it wont be viewable in all it's glory. | |

Ya I keep hearing the same thing. The story does seem a bit cliche and 'meh'. While everyone I've talked to has had different opinions about that...the consensus (spell check, I just ran 5 miles give me a break ) seems to be that the effects, movie-making process, and this new method of 3D are going to revolutionize how films are produced. I mean, they only filmed for a couple months and after that the CGI team took over and did almost everything! Its really the first virtual movie. In many cases, the actors themselves aren't even shown, just their CGI representantion, or 'avatar' (fitting name). The more I read and hear about it, the more I NEED TO SEE IT! Imma wait til it cools down out here (its in the 80s, with daytime lows in the 50s). | |

| yeah only think the price tag on making films like this is a wee bit high, since it's the first prices will go down I supose...the not so good thing is they need to make over 500 mil before they gross a profit. | |

| This movie was appsolutely amazing, the graphics were awesome, and the plot was actually really good, I guess the $500,000,000 was used wisely. My friend told me that they programed it so after they had put all the animated parts, exept for the people, into the computers, that they had made it so they could move a camra around the set and when you looked through the screen you would see what would be there in the movie, so you could basicly walk in their world as long as you were looking through the camra. | |
