Alright guys, this is my review of the WELL G55 GBB

Real Steel Background:
The WELL G55 is a replica of Heckler & Koch's Machine Pistole 5 Kurz, a.k.a. MP5K. The HK MP5K is commonly chambered in 9x19 Parabellum and is fed by either 15-round magazines or 30-round magazines. It is fired from a closed-bolt system. It is a favorite among bodyguards and undercover operatives due to its small size and awesome firepower.

Basic Info:
The G55 is gas powered, using either HFC134a (Green Gas) or Propane. Either propellant can be used, but I personally prefer propane, due to cost and some faults I have found with using HFC134a in this replica. As of the time of this review January 13, 2010, the only green gas I have used in this replica is Bestek Green Gas. It seems there is too much lubricant in the Bestek Green Gas, which will cause the replica to jam after one or two shots. This replica will fire around 20-30 rounds a SECOND, so I highly recommend purchasing the high capacity 32 round magazines for this replica. I do not recommend purchasing them from Evike, though. I have installed a Maruzen MP5K enhanced loading muzzle in my G55 to improve gas efficiency and life of the replica. As a nice side effect, installing this loading muzzle brought my rate of fire up to about 35-40 rounds a second. This replica is by far the easiest replica I have ever disassembled, and the only one I can take apart with only my hands and a single jeweler's screwdriver. The only two mechanisms that require use of a screwdriver are the trigger mechanism and the loading mechanism, but it is highly unlikely you will ever need to disassemble them at the field. This replica has an excellent price of about $90 to $115. One downside to this replica is that magazines cost about $30.

Field Use:
So far, I have only had the opportunity to field my G55 twice, but both times it functioned well and drew plenty of attention. If I had a nickel for everytime somebody has asked to see or fire my replica, I would probably have a nice amount of coins in my pocket. The sound of this replica is quite fearsome; if you hear this baby firing in your direction, you will keep your head down. I have had a few instances where I have gone against players with vastly superior experience on the field that were afraid of my G55 and asked me not to shoot them with it. Accuracy leaves something to be desired, but it is not meant to be picking people off at the other side of the field. It's best use is room clearing and as a last ditch weapon. This weapon is also very gas efficient. I have been able to go through about 50 rounds in a 20-round magazine with a 20 second charge of propane.

What I think:
I believe this is an excellent gas blowback replica that everyone should look at. If you want a cheap, reliable, easy to maintain, fully-automatice sidearm, look no further.

Hope you guys liked my review. Let's see if I can get some pics up.

If all worked right, the second image should show all of the internals.

I know, but they are really hard to find anymore. It's easier just to buy the 32-round magazines

Hmm, you may have just sold me.

For some reason, I'm really wanting to sell my G4...and pick up one of these babies.
I'd put a much longer barrel on it and a stock...basically making it into a field primary.

I've been looking for a good GBB assault rifle...

Hmmm...

If it's an assault rifle you want, check out the JG M4 GBB. The WELL G55 just doesn't have the accuracy or range for a field environment. On a good day when the field is warm, mine can only reach out and touch someone at about 20-30 feet. That's the replica's main downfall, now that I think about it.

Hmm, may just pick up a WE M4 CQB-R GBB. They're like $125 on RedDragon...and I could probably just upgrade the internals a bit and make it last a while.

Yeah, but you can't beat the reliability and realism of M4 GBBs.

Ah, I know these guys, they've got their DOPE straight. They're a big retailer in the UK. Thanks for the link, man, I appreciate it. Man, this thread has gotten off topic though. Let's return to the topic at hand.

edit: my bad, I mistook them for a retailer in the UK with a similar name. These guys are actually out of Hong Kong, but I'll talk to some friends about them. MIKE!

Edit #2: okay, guys, just wanted to make an update to my review of the G55. Some of you may experience problems with trigger pull. Being a trained MCJROTC shooter, I was taught to immediately take all slack out of the trigger. When you attempt to do this with the G55, the gun may go off becuase it has an extremely light trigger pull. The trigger, when put on safe, does not lock. You can squeeze it all day long, but it should not go off unless the selector is off "safe"
