Well I gotsuspended

So, today I was walking down to a taco joint to get my self lunch, and this kid started talking "Watch your language" to my friend that did nothing to her, making her cry and what not so i took action a kicked his ass. Well sercurity came down and took me up, they searched the site and found a bag of marijuana, well the kid said it was mine and fell out of my pocket during the fight, so now I have to go to court, and pay a 100 dollar possession chargesn plus the fighting and stuff. kinda a shitty day what do you guys think I should do. he started the fight, but I threw the first punch, so nobody believes me it wasn't my bag.

Ha! What a pissy day. I've been in my fair share of fights...but yours was rather uncalled for.
He was using words to hurt her, you could have used words to tell him to knock it off.

He didnt "start the fight" if you were the one who threw the first punch...you started it.

As for the false posession claims, go along with the legal process.
99% of youth pot cases are dropped within the first few weeks...as long as the quantity in question wasn't over 1/2 lbs.

Well, unless they can prove it was your stuff, then they can't really fine you for possession (Meaning if they do, lawyer up and sue the school). As for the fight, you'll probably get in trouble for that (Make sure you get in contact with every witness to confirm your story).

Also, if the fight in question was off school grounds, then I don't know that they can do anything about it either. Although You'll probably get into trouble for leaving school grounds.

What's the proposed suspension time?

As for the fighting, AFU is right...if it wasn't on campus, the school shouldnt be able to do anything.

A friend of mine was picked up on assault charges and filed suit against the city for "interfering with his academic achievement" because he missed a ton of school to go to court. He ended up having his charges dropped and actually won a substantial ammount of $$$ in penance.

it wasn't much pot, and I did use words but people are idiots now days you know they need the sense knocked into him.

as for the fight it took place between school grounds and public property, it is the smoking area that everybody goes down to, I went through there because it was the fastest way to get to the taco joint. when security got down there, I was on school property punching him in the face.

I would get a lawyer but I don't have the money to get a good one or a decent one. Plus I don't know how my manager is going to take it either, so I might not have a job for much longer. From what the school cop said though if I do everything and pay all the fines it will be whipped off my recored and I'll be good.

First know your rights, if the cops can't prove it is yours they have nothing, you don't have to tell them anything, 5th amendment they can't hold anything you don't say agianst you, if you do say somthing theyll use it. If you can't afford a lawyer the court HAS to give you one, even the newest lawyer will be able to get you out of this...te drug charge anyway as for the fighting your guilty...however the girl could threaten to sue for verbal abuse/harrasment and the dude might drop his charges. Don't take this as legal advice...get your self a lawyer...make sure you know your rights when it comes to this becouse cops will try to scare you into pleading for somthing you did not do...thier not your friends no matter what they say.

They only have circumstancial evidence on the weed..only the dude who you fought was a witness and obvisouly he is biased so the weed charge will never hold in court. And if they do promise you it will go of your records if you do plead get a signed document thats notorized by a public notary so you don't get screwed...they will screw you thier job is to get convictions guilty or not.

Yeah, the cops in Colorado all seem to be out to get you. When I got hit by a car a couple of years ago, they gave me a ticket for running a red light while I was still in the hospital. What they did does not surprise me whatsoever.

1/2 a pund durkee? dude no. one pound of weed is not low AT ALL. 1/2 a pound of weed goes for a "Watch your language" LOAD OF MONEY. Atleast in Pa over 30grams is under intent to sell and thats trouble. 30 grams is .066138 lbs. so if he had 1/2 pounds that would be 226.796 grams. unbelieveable amounts. So even with that little amount (30 grams) he would be in some pretty serious crap for a minor.

I couple years back Colorado made it legal to hold any amount under 1 oz somewhat legal, if you are caught with anything under 1 oz you will get charged with a 100 dollar fine (first time) second time its like 250 and third time I don't really know I forgot.

as for the rights I know them, I have run ins with cops all the time for everything nothing that gets me in trouble though, so I know that I can keep silent. As for the fight, I don't really mind the cool security guard called my cell, and said that most likely I wouldn't have to pay anything and the assault charges will be minor with maybe a small fine or some community service then be taken off my record.

I have a court date on February 8th by then I will have all this "Watch your language" taken care of, and be able to get back to life. As for the school, they will hear about it, even if I got to take them to court, because they are wrongfully charging me of something wasn't even mine.

But since my grandma found out shes been trying to get me to go to a rehab center, which I am refusing to do. Anyways I will get a U.A and give them a shaft sample to show I am clean.

Precisely I was kidding with the 1/2lbs...although people at my school seem to find it funny haha. Right before winter vacation a kid was found with 3 lbs of MJ and an automatic pistol in his backpack. The whole school was locked down for a week and the kid is long gone. Wonder what he was planning to do with all that...

If you just had a hit or two on you, you're good...because they wont be able to go after you with suspicion of you dealing. Either way, FIGHT BACK!

yeah, inner city anywhere is filled with the automatic "Watch your language" my friend. My brother has the easy ability to get himself or me an AK-47 illegaly or any other low grade cheaply built weapon for under $1000. notthat its cheap but still.

yeah well it's people now days, thats why i carry a knife on me most of the time, thank Don't use the Lord's name in vain. i didnt have it today.

I live in a boring red neck, white bread, suburban town. The only thing I carry to school that could prove useful in a situation that I had to escape from is a windsheild breaker. Its a really clever tool that uses a spring loaded tip to crack any tempered or laminate glass. And it features a seat belt cutter that will wear away and tear at rope and plastic.

As for fighting...I have only seen one this year, and most of kids are smart enough to say..."Aight, lets go and finish this on my street..."

Be glad you live in boring redneck whitebread town! Here, there are loads of fights, loads of deaths/killings, so on and so on. In fact, just last week, one of my good friends was in a rollover accident (vehicle rolled 7 goddamn times) that killed the driver and the passenger up front. There were five in the car but only two were killed. They and another car were playing Cat and Mouse, and their car flipped. And not two months before, a girl died after she snorted crushed up smarties candies like cocaine. We lose somebody about once every two months.

Well......The last fight i saw was last summer at my house when i had a Boxing Match in my back yard. At its hieght we had 20 people all crowded in my back yard and the alley way and it was rockin.......in my Blue Collar town we are more worried about the gas prices than a physcho with his 9mm.

Ok Back to Topic !

First, find out what the schools Policy is on leaving School grounds, Some schools allow more flexability based on Grade and Age. Just because `` We always do it ! and nobody ever said anything ! ´´, dosn´t mean it is allowed.

Second, It has already been covered but, Get your witnesses, and your story straight, and don´t deviate from it, make sure everybody understands that. Don´t try to embelish or weasel your way out of a bad situation, chances are you´ll just make it worse.

Third, Pot, His word against yours, unless somebody knew you were carrying.

Fourth, Again Covered, No Statement unless an Attorney is present, if you already made one, remember what you said, that is now your Story.

Last but not least, Sorry, unless the other person touched you first, you are going to pay on the Assault charge. Notice I said `` Touched ´´, you can yell and scream all you want, but once somebody starts physical contact, then the issue of self defense comes into play, nobody has the right to lay their hands on another person, and just touching somebody, in most courts is considered Assault.

I don't think this is helping your case If your prosecutors find that, they'll go apeshit.

(It could be interpreted as you trying to justify pot...which your case may revolve around)
