| Does anybody else here go to legit raves? I'm not talking about private drug baised raves, I mean raves that are for 13 and up, and is like a great big party type thing with lights and crazy techo music. | |

| Oh yes. I like the big legit raves. There's some real talent there. In my experience half the people are still high as the sky, but it's easy to stay out of that and just enjoy the experience. Two years in a row I've gone to Freaknight in Seattle. It's a huge rave on Halloween night. In 2008 the major names were Morgan Page, The Crystal Method, Moby, and Paul Van Dyk. In 2009 the major names were Eddie Halliwell, Benny Benassi, Ferry Corsten, and Yoji Biomehanika.
I always forget that you're not allowed to bring practically anything inside. Water, food, glowsticks, pretty much anything you know you'll need. It's waaay expensive inside though. Gotta remember to plan ahead and sneak stuff inside that's effectively concealed from pat-downs. Or just not bring anything. Easy enough just to buy one bottle of water and refill in the bathroom sink.

| Wouldn't necessarily call myself a 'raver'...but I do enjoy the scene. Went to Monster Massive and some other large scale gigs. A family friend from San Francisco introduced me to rave at a private event in Norcal a few years back. I don't advise anyone under 21 to get into the scene...it can be dangerous. I've backed away from the chemical aspect after some bad experiences, but will always have Tiesto, Deadmau5, and The Shoe in my heart. Anyone know of any crap coming up in LA/OC? | |

| Over here we only have a few legitimate raves. All of which seem to be the "meh" ones at anime conventions. But I usually hit those up when they come around. Currently in the process of "meeting the right people", so I will probably be raving more. I wish we had things like monstermassive. That'd be fun... PLUR guys! sticks | |

| Pajama Jam is tonight...but don't think I'm going to make it. Believe it or not, I used to be a professional tap dancer (age 6-14 I was paid to dance at events/parties/weddings ) and I danced at the 2006 Midnight Massive in Hollywood. My crew had custom made synchronized light-up tap shoes and everything. Was a big hit because it had realy never been done before. I think I may just dust the things off and make some videos | |

| I like to mix mainstream with some of the sublime artists.
Daft punk is always up there for me along with ' Deadmau5... Tiesto... Basshunter... Dj Splash... Dj S3rl... Attack Attack... Dj Mortal combat... Libertine... and a few small french artists.
Trance, jumpstyle, tektonik, remix...honestly anything you can rush to.
Forgot to mention Jaques lu Cont, one of the best rock-techno mixers of all time.

| That's a good list. But what about Justice? If you like "Ghosts n Stuff" by Deadmau5, you should love Justice. Boys Noize? Ferry Corsten? And arguably the best trance DJ on the planet: Eddie Halliwell. "Fire it Up" with Eddie Halliwell. Best thing ever to happen to internet radio. | |
