Flecktarn Camouflage ?'s Empty
PostSubject: Flecktarn Camouflage ?'s   Flecktarn Camouflage ?'s Icon_minitimeFri Jan 22, 2010 6:43 pm

After realizing how much I HATE woodland camouflage, I wanted a Flecktarn set. I have an order set up on a site I've seen around here several times (hessenantique.com) and I had two questions:

1. Is there somewhere cheaper to get these items (Field Shirt, Trousers, Nameplate, Rank Insignia)? It's kind of expensive b/c a lot of ships from Germany, but $36.50 seems kind of steep for only a field shirt...my entire woodland set (Shirt/Trousers) cost $35.

2. Would it be awkward using Flecktarn with an M4 (SPR)? I usually see loadouts with G36s, but I think an M4 may just look odd and I've put too much money into it to buy a G36.

I wear full Flecktarn and i have an M4, it's not awkward at all.

Depending on your size weaponblender.com just got some Flecktarn in and it's pretty cheap. Downside is most of it is only in size small.

Okay, I just see everyone who wears Flecktarn is carrying a H&K (usually G36).

Yeah, it's all Small or XL, and I'm a Large.

Yeah but in the end if the gun you have can shoot people out who really cares right?

Have you looked on Ebay for Fleck? I've heard there's a few good Ebay stores that have some decent prices.

The M4 would not be awkward at all. I believe some of the Bundeswehr Panzer units utilize M4s. Just be sure to get the Panzer Beret

At the very least you can drop a crane stock on it and one of the ergo grips and call it a 416/417. Not quite in use by the Germans i believe but it'd be something like the H&K M4 variant.

@Jarhead99976 65- It's tempting...but I wouldn't ever wear it.

@iliveforthis99- I have a full stock M4, and I don't want to rewire it, sooooo I'm stuck with the full for now.

Wouldn't have to rewire since you can stick a battery in a Crane stock.

Most of the crane stocks I've seen either don't fit a battery or fit the butterfly config, and I don't want to buy a new battery (mine is really big, takes up a lot of the stock).

Crane stocks use the "nun-chuck" style batteries. They fit fine in the crane stocks that actually have battery compartments.

Oh...I've heard butterfly but whatever. I'd still have to buy a new battery, and with the stock would be about $100.
