| Ok. So i have been saving up my money for sometime now, and am looking to get a nice AEG. I have narrowed it down to a few guns, and want to know what you all think is best. So lemme lay out what i want in the gun: -ROF. something that can lay down some suppressive fire fast, and throws it out for a while -Ammo capacity. Once again, suppresive fire. -Accuracy. Need it to be accurate, but by no means requiring it to be able to hit a foot wide target a 150 feet. I got a rifle for that. -Cost. Max of $350 for everything. Shipping included. So thats the criteria. Heres my choices I have picked out: A&K M60A&K M249 SAW ParaI am also considering a KWA M4 or M16 and putting a boxmag on it. I know Durkee hates Boxmags on them but its what i need lol. As for the weight of the guns, i know they weigh alot. I can handle it, and would probably be getting a nice sling with it. So what do you all think? Any suggestions other than what I've posted here? | |

| I'd go with a KWA with a box mag honestly, it'd probably be the fastest of the three depending on the battery you put in it. | |

| When KWA advertises as lipo ready, do they mean it? cuz technically any aeg is lipo ready, its just a matter of how long it takes the gun to break.
ilft99, do you use a lipo in yours?

| I don't run Li-Po in mine (yet) mainly because of the cost of the batteries and charger. However KWAs are designed to use Li-Po out of the box unlike a lot of other AEGs that need reinforcing and upgrading in order to last. | |

| I think you should get the M60. According to Evike it has slightly better range, and it saves you $20 that can go towards ammo or accessories, or whatever you want.
There is a few downsides to getting the M60, though. - Can't use AR15 magazines - No scope rail - No 'folding' stock - Unique battery, hard to find new ones (probably)
A good thing is that the M60 is shorter than the M249 (unless Evike measured wrong) but it still has slightly better range/accuracy.
So overall I say you should get the M60 or a KWA M16 of some sort, but that's just me. Oh and don't order from Evike, just ask Jarhead999 76 65 about that.

| Yeah, avoid them like the plague. I'd go with the Pig, but that's just me. Unfortunately, they don't make spare mags for that gun yet, but you do have 4000 rounds at your disposal | |

| Heck, you don't even need 1 thousand. I went for 2 and a half hours without reloading my single 600rd AK magazine. You'll do darn fine with 4000. | |

| Unless you're like me. I go through 1,000 rounds in a single 45 minute CTF game (I have to suppress people a lot though) | |

| Yes, the Pig is the M60. Extra kibbles to you, Drummer! I've seen a few custom SAWs, but I'd get the Pig because, out of support weapons, it's mostly SAWs and M60E3s, maybe a RPK thrown in here and there | |

| Truely and honestly, for extreme milsim, go for the swine flu, but depending on which one you get, one of the airsoft pigs by A&K is the equivalent size of... hmm... probably an actual size pig if not longer... I guess that's where it gets it's name.. muahaha, everything is starting to make sense... If you watch full metal jacket, theres one version where it has a shorter barrel, and the pig sized swine gun, the bigger version, is in the scene where that one guy's all GET SOME! YEAH YEAH GET SOME! YA YA YA GET SOME WOO! ANYONE THAT RUNS IS A VC. ANYONE THAT STANDS STILL! IS A WELL TRAINED VC. you know? I mean, how can you not know the GET SOME guy? But if you want less mil-sim, and more airsoft practical, KWA + Li-po + box mag. Problem is that runs slightly over 360, so hmm.. I should erase that part, and I willl... ehh moving the mouse up there... to lazy. But anyways yes, the KWAs are very nice. KWAs are li-po ready, they feature a special gearbox, the 3GX? Version 2 gearbox, nice gears, already nicely shimmed, gears lubed and all, motor's great, wires are pretty heat resistant, definetly li-po ready. And I know this personally since a guy at SC village who is my Idol in airsoft in general, he and his sons have... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 KWAS, custom wired, and upgraded with a tightbore 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 LI PO BATTERIES (i'm terrible in counting arn't I?) But inside the gearbox, he's done nothing to them. Every week, he opens all his guns, cleans the GB, and thats all he has to do. He's had those guns for 2 years, and no problems that are worth crying over. | |

| True, the "swine flu" is around 3 feet long, and it's 15 pounds. You said you weren't worried about weight though. | |

| Way off topic, but in the movie Tropic Thunder, doesnt the guy also have a pig when he is asked "What kind of farmer are you?' and he pulls out the Pig and yells "I'm a lead farmer, Muthaf***a!"
Back on topic......I looked into getting a KWA before, and while it may be more airsoft practical, everyone and their brother and his cousin has a KWA M4 or M16. I love function, but i also love being unique. I also have no qualms about weight or size (i may only be 5'4 but im strong as an ox! lol)
I am confused, what is 2GX and 3GX?

| Just the name of the gearbox Just so people who know nothing about airsoft "Oh mah Don't use the Lord's name in vain., it has a 2GX gearbox? THAT SOUNDS UNIQUE, AWESOME AND VERY EXPENSIVE! I NEED ONE!"
joking side.
Pretty much just a fancy term for insanely pimped out gearbox.

No, those were either two M16A1/A2s, or a M16A1/A2 and a M4A1 (don't know why the M4A1 is in that movie, but whatever. Once you get used to humping the Pig, though, you'll be fine. edit: Oh, dangit.... I think I just said something that could be construed as naughty....

| DO NOT get the M249. The A&K SAW is easily the worst gun I have ever shot before (My friend's), but I have heard decent reviews about the M60 (I have it's flash hider on my AR15 ), so I would recommend the m60. | |
