| I need some suggestions on piano pieces to learn... Anything really...I play/like a wide range of genres. So far I have these queued to be learned: 1) "Human" - The Killers (Vocals/synth/piano) 2) "Fireflies" - Owl City (Hey, its catchy and has meaning  ) 3) "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" - Beatles...duh! BTW: don't worry if its an unknown artist/band/pianist/singer and I wouldnt be able to find sheet music...I play by ear... I play keyboard/piano for a few local groups and solo every once in a while at malls... So any suggestions would be great! | |

| Alice's Restaurant. The melody is easy enough, but the lyrics are going to be your limiting factor. You only need to remember a few verses. Best part is you don't have to be a very good singer. | |

ROFL...we all have to start somewhere My first piece was the chorus to "Stairway to Heaven". I have no desire to learn the whole song...cuz it's not like you can actually perform it anywhere without getting boo'd off stage  @Drummer, ya I'm watching this thread Making a list of stuff...I just got a request to learn "The Lonely Man" (from HULK)...and am still refining "Fireflies" (again, it wasn't my choice to learn...). "The Final Countdown" eh...hmm...that might be fun Anyone know any good oldies? One of my classmates told me to learn "Hear Comes the Sun"...so we'll see. I've been taking a step in the direction of the bluesy-oldies. Thanks for all the suggestions, guys! | |

| I like Randy Newman's style, not so much his voice, haha. For some oldies maybe some of the old James Brown or Clarence "Frogman" Henry. Dunno if it's really oldies but fun nonetheless  | |
