During World War II, GI's were given a kit containing condoms, lube, sexual health products, and other "fun stuff".
Is there a modern day equivalent given to servicemen/women upon deployment nowadays?

Got into a conversation about this in my history class...so just wondering...can't find any info online really.

I believe its been switch with an official barrel cover/condom (used in PB). Along with a series of sexual and disease oriented shots before going over seas. Reason i said barrel cover is because in WWII they put the condoms on their barrels to keep them from getting clogged or dipping in the swamps.

Jarhead, from what I have heard they only put the "used but cleaned" ones over the barrels. This was a smart move by the CoC in WW2. Also, saying that they only used it for their barrels is "kid safe". GI's were and always will be some of the most horney and PO'd individuals on the planet, no reason to stop them either.
