| Ok guys there is a building in our field called the detention center, Ill map is out for you to look at...
|-----------------| |.................} |.... __OO___|
This room is about 5x12 very small and very hard to escape from Ok so, the larger open space is the only exit and the } is a hole in the wall which can be shot into/out of the two OO are two trees in the room on the wall close to the door.
The last game we played, I ran out, immediately was shot, and then the rest of the squad was grenaded, therefore we lost.
Does anyone know any good tactics to get out of this building?
PS the periods are just so the building can take shape, the 4 on the bottom left is the door | |

| I'd just stay out of there, honestly. It's a big time killzone, and everyone knows it. If you get in there, chances are, you're not getting out. If you were coming out, I'd try popping some smoke and using your support gunners (or people with a lot of ammo) to give suppressing fire in areas that often fill with OPFOR. | |

| Hah, we usually don't go in there, you are right, it is a terrible place. Thing is though, that was where we had to start out in one of our missions, and our whole team was down in nearly 5 minutes. But thanks for that with the smoke, they wont be able to see us, but theyll probably still shoot in anyways | |

| Wait wait wait! They made you start there?! No, that's bullshit man. Tell 'em they have to at least let you get out of the building. No spawn-guarding | |

| Yeah sorry theres no way your getting out of that thing....all the opfor has to do is hide in the bushes and shoot at the hole and the exit..doesnt matter how much support you have your not getting out. A better scenario they could have is as follows...your all trapped in there under heavy fire...you can't go out but you could probly defend yourself in there.
In the meantime a small rescue team is deployed to get you cats out..this could be a squad or a sniper/spotter team.
See now theres a mission..unless that was your mission and your rescue sucked more then paris..sorry couldnt resist ;p | |

| @Zane But say there's some cover around the opening to the building that OPFOR routinely hover around. Then, the support gunners could spray everything in that generally area and lay down some heavy suppressing fire through smoke. It should give warsaw some time to didi, right? I mean, I realize all Charlie has to do is shoot at the doorway, but if you have heavy enough suppressing fire, you should be able to keep their heads down long enough to get Oscar Mike. | |

| The thing is the opfor don't have to be in sight...im pretty sure theres some clearing around the hous then wood..thats the standard setup anyway...the OPFOR just have to get on thier bellys on the grass and shoot around somthing...instant win.
The problem with a this situation is the OPFOR can spread out over a wide area, take cover, and get on thier belly so supresive fire is useless, wislt you are trapped in a house with a little door, a tiny window..and a angry OPFOR outside that wants to eat you.
Even if you do use smoke..they just have to keep shooting at the same place..and when you get out..well your a wide open target wile thier concealed on the floor. | |

| Here is a tactical map of the town we were in Now, if you see the small square right in the middle Q25, that is the sniper tower, which is currently off limits due to stability issues, and the structure right above that square, is the detention center. What was happening, was the scenario was there were 2 ammo crates, we started with one, and another team did also. There were 3-4 teams that game, one to the east, one to the north and one to the south, with ours being in the west, each spawned in their respective compounds, but ours is typically the worst spawn. What I am starting to think now was that we were not supposed to attempt to rush out of that detention center, but stay in and attempt to safeguard our ammo crate. Either way, our squad failed. | |

| Well, if you were supposed to defend it, it would be an easy defense. Put a gunner in the doorway and a sniper/DM in the window, and you're good to go | |

| Well, in the future, get the guns with the longest barrels at those positions. If it has high ROF, put it on the door | |
