| I have a G4-A5 DMR (G&G base gun) and theres a problem with the selector switch. It "slides" rather than clicking into place as I change fire modes...if that makes any sense at all.
What could be the problem? How would I solve said problem? Would I be better off purchasing a new selector assembly? Where/how much would said selector assembly be? How would one install said assembly? How much would it cost one to have ASGI or someone install said assembly (at walk-in store)?

| Does it still fire when you "slide" it into armed mode? Worst case scenario you could just tape it down on semi. | |

Ya it does. And half the time it doesnt even do anyhting when I switch fire modes. I can be on Auto, but the trigger wont even pull sometimes. Its just screwed up altogether. Tape wont fix it

| I've never seen this problem with any of the G&Gs or any of the AR variants my team uses (3 G&Gs and 5 ARs, 2 of which are G&G ARs). But I would say it's a selector switch problem rather than anything else. Maybe it needs replaced, but maybe it just wasn't installed properly. Sorry I can't be of much help. | |

| Maybe you could just ask some of the people at the skirmish tomorrow to see if they can help? | |

| SnowSnipe, I answered you on your original Thread, will try to post some pics in the Morn.
@Spl Durkee, I take it you have had this gun for a while.
Sounds like the locking pin on the Selector Switch has worn a Groove into the lower reciever ( it happens with the Zinc/Alu bodies )
Can you Push and Pull on the Selector Lever ? and is there `` Play ´´, it move in and out a few mm´s ?
Best case scenario, the screw inside just needs to be tightened, same Pics will also help.

Best case scenario, the screw inside just needs to be tightened, same Pics will also help. It was about 4 months old before I started having this problem. The G4 series has a plastic body, so could it still be just worn down? Doesnt move around to much on its own...in fact, its rather stiff. So maybe just loostening the screw would work? I'll have a go at that. As long as I get to stay away from gearboxes, I'm good. Last time I dismantled one, it exploded and I couldnt get it reassembled for over a month

All we had to do is reset the piston because it was pushed back by a cleaning rod somehow (& firing didn't work)... but then springs and metal pieces were everywhere.
