how long do you charge a battery. the manual said 3 hours, but that seems way to short of a time

You know the best answer for this? By a smart charger...20 bucks and no stress.

If you insist on not using one follow the manual..they wont lie to you.

nah...it takes a couple of charges for a battery to hold full power..eg mine had to be charged 8 times (according to the manual) before they would hold full power.

Each time you do a charge it should last longer...if it doesnt your battery is defective.

I usually charge my 8.4v 1500mah for about 4 hours before I go to use it.

Just a warning...not smart to over charge..and once agian, the first couple times you charge it wont hold the charge for long...it should last you for about 1500 shots (depending if you did upgrades..in which case you should be on a 9.6)

Usually about...... oh, maybe eight to ten hours (this is an estimate, I haven't played for several months).

I overcharged my G36's battery once (for almost 12 hours!) and it was fine... might have been lucky though...
