None...unless you can get corrective surgery.

For Army and Air Force, If you are not color blind and can get an "E 1" rating for your vision (20/200 vision in both eyes, correctable to 20/20) you qualify for most jobs in either service, as far as vision goes.

I don't know about the Marines/Navy...but I'm quite sure its the same.

I'm actually going ot have problems with this too, probably.
I'm near-sighted and right on the borderline as far as vision goes. So I'll have to get corrective surgery probably.

Probably Ortho-K or Lasik...

There are always options in civil defense.
The Civil Air Patrol is not strict about eyesight...you'd get a ground job, though. (You can't get a pilot's license with partial blindness).

I'm actually about to start a high-carrot/greens diet. Friend of mine actually stopped thw worsening of his vision a high beta-carotene diet.

Carrots don't give you better sight, the nutriants in carrots and vegetables keep you healthy. MOst disorders are from lack of a certain nutriant...

Sorry White Wolf, but unless you can be corrected to 20/20 with glasses or contacts it´s going to be extremly hard, and if you have issues with being colored blind, you can forget it.

Each branch has different minimum requirements, the easiest being the Navy, 20/200 corrected to 20/70 ( No Color Blind Issues ), the AF goes so far as to seperate the eyes, 20/40 good eye, 20/70 bad eye ( of course all non-flying MOS´s ).

If you are legaly blind in one eye, you are fighting an uphill battle trying to join the military, and if you do make it in, the Physicals later are just going to get harder to pass.

Contacts are allowed to be worn?
