| What does this word mean? I usually see it associated with M4's. I have a few ideas, but I want to know exactly. Do you guys like SOPMOD, why or why not? | |

| Of course I like SOPMOD, it adds tons of capabilities to a standard M4 carbine. | |

| Not exactly. It's a setup of accessories from the SOPMOD Block 1 kit that is issued to teams. | |

| More or less from i gather. Operators are adding some of their own stuff on top of the stuff the kit gives them but yeah for the most part that's a SOPMOD. | |

| Recently they came out with Block 2, so the newer accessories may be from Block 2. I know in the past Navy SOCOM units tested a few different NVG lasers and such, so that may also explain the different accessories that's not on the list.

| Haha yeah it's a modular system, you take the parts from the kit that will work best with what you'll be doing and leave off the rest. | |

| The block II also has a 12in Daniel Defense free float RIS in FDE IIRC. I didn't see it pictured up there so I thought I would throw that out there...
