| Okay guys, I have three choices for a rifle. The guy at my gun shop will order any of them for me. Money is not a factor for base price. The choices are WE AFC M16A3, WE M4A1 w/ RIS, and WE KAC PDW. The gas systems are all basically the same.
M16A3 has length, which means more accuracy, but it doesn't have a RIS and will be hard to use in close quarters. M4A1 has RIS, plus it will be more skirmishable in close quarters. Accuracy is not as good, but there are more upgrades (lighter bolts, etc. etc.) PDW is not as accurate, has built in RIS, will be better for close quarters, and has folding stock

| If you're playing field mostly i'd take the M4 if you're playing CQB most of the time the KAC.
Personally though, i'd wait a bit and see what KWA's M4 GBB's are going to be like.

| Here's the deal. The field I will be playing at is mostly field environment, some New Mexico pinon and pines, and some bunkers, pillboxes, and small houses. I'm kind of leaning towards the PDW because it's shorter and will be easier to use in the trees and buldings, and I've read that it can still reach out and touch someone, for the most part. I agree, I'd like to see some of the KWA GBBRs. Does anybody have any info they're hiding? I'll give you a cookie and a John Deere picture for it. edit: Just wanted to post some pics of my enviro. with trees like this I haven't been to the field yet, but I know the terrain of the general area. It could be like any of those or all of those together. Found an on field pic. | |

| I forget the site i found that had some info and pics on it but i remember reading it was ready to go except for the mag. KWA is redesigning gas mags to be more reliable and less prone to breaking if dropped thus the delay. Edit: Never mind i found it searching for their MP9. http://sitrep.airarmory.com/sitrep/?tag=/new+kwa+product | |

| Later this year?! I can't wait that long! I only have until August to play!
So I'm getting one on the M16A3, three on the M4A1, and two on the PDW. Please, forum members, I want as many votes as possible on this.

| Pdw because m4s are over rated and thus the m16 is indirectly over rated. Plus I have a thing for pdws | |

| M16A3 all the way!! The classic look of the M16 IMHO is so awesome. and if you think about it, it's actually not seen often on the AS field. Someone always has an M4 RIS or OCCASIONALLY an M16 but with RIS. I think people over-exaggerate the need of a super-short, M4 length gun in case of a CQC occurance. The M16 is actually very maneuverable, more so than people feel like. Jusstt my opinion though! M16s just feel and look awesome to me, I have never talked to somebody who was dissapointed with one. | |

| I think my biggest problem with the M16 is the lack of a RIS. To make it what I want (rails w/ PEQ, broomstick, weapons light, all the fun stuff), I'll have to buy a real steel rail system, which costs nearly $300, from my research. In order to make my rifle fieldable, I'll need to spend nearly $200 (will be spending that reguardless) on mags, plus two more mag pouches ($30), and I may be buying a rig an acquaintance of mine used in Iraq for near $200, if not more. In short, $300 + $200 + $200 + $30 = $730. And I haven't even bought new boots and a uniform yet!
The PDW comes with 2 mags, as well, which is another huge plus for me. The other two don't. I don't know, I am really leaning towards the PDW and the M16. The M4 is beginning to lose with me, mainly because everyone has one. MORE EYES ON THE TOPIC PLEASE!

| Oohhhh, I must admit the PDW does look pretty sweet. Buttt I still can't resist the classic M16 look and feel. I think it just comes down to which you think looks cooler, and your style of play. | |

| I must say i'm finding this funny. I absolutely hate the M16 with a burning passion as an AR. So since the M4 is pretty much out i'm going to say KAC. Although, i will say that the M16A3 would be better for field play then the KAC probably. | |

| Mhmm, mostly it's a combination of it's length and the feel of the gun because of that. It just doesn't fit well with me at all comfortably or practically. To long to use in urban environments and the same moving through wooded areas. I always feel like i'm going to smack the barrel into everything even in the open lol.
It's not just the airsoft versions either, i feel the same if not more so with the real steel ones as well. It's really strange since i love the M4 platforms feel and i don't really mind long guns in regards to owning and loving an 81/30 Mosin (long ass gun) as proof of that.

| Okay, the length is a big factor, I agree. It's kind of a double edged sword. I mean, on one hand, you can smack everything with your barrel and on the other hand, you can get a hit at range. | |

| I know right, the longer barrel for accuracy is something i do like about the M16 for both real steel and airsoft. But i prefer having the longer barrel dropped into a bullpup design which i am a huge fan of. | |

| I agree, bullpups are much better than the standard mag in front design, however, there are no GBBR bullpups, and they don't really go with my loadout. | |

| Well Ilft we must be very different shooters, because when I hold my Buddys KWA M16br , I feel like I can maneuver anything. It feels great when I used to do urban combat, and when I play with it back in the woods, I feel just as mobile as with my M4. | |

| My brother is the same way, he likes the M16 and even wants to get one i believe. But i swear the M16 just feels awkward as heck in my hands. | |

| I like big guns, haha. M249 MKI ftw!
With long rifles, yeah, room clearing can suck, but I guess you just have to be more careful

| As long as you don't get ahead of yourself, you really shouldn't have any problems maneuvering brush, rooms, obstacles etc | |
