| So I'm planning on getting a group together to go to a bit of private land in the Mojave Desert...it'll be an all-day gig. I need roughly 5 players, preferably in desert MARPAT or chocolate chip, to play coalition roles... As well as 4-6 players in civie clothing to play insurgency roles...
This is not a skirmish, it is a video shoot (although we will likely skirm a bit once were done if time permits).
We're making a promo video for the new UAV and 2 amateur film-makers from my school have offered to produce it free of charge. Going to bring professional sound and video recording tech as well as 2 vehicles...
One is a black tahoe to play coalition transport and the other is a white ford to play an insurgency gun-truck. Looking for as many players as possible, but I NEED at least 8. Carpools will be arranged.
Will likely take place early June. Exact location will be disclosed once date has been confirmed.
PM me or post below if you're at all interested. I'm just trying to get an estimate on attendee's at this point.
Confirmed attendee's (Name - Callsign - Team - Affiliation): Chris D. - Slim (I guess) - Coalition - Freelance (UAV callsign: SkyReel) Darren T. - Micah - Coalition - Freelance Tod R. - Bigfoot - Coalition - 2nd R&D

I would love to do it, just let me know when. Desert would be prefered, but it isn't going to matter much. I'm likely going to have them make the UAV's video black and white.

| Durkee, as odd as this seems, I may be able to make it out there. I might be going to Cali this summer for a little while, and by then I should have my US Marine loadout "Watch your language" near finished, it would all depend on whether or not I opt for issue MARPAT or not. I'd be honored to be there, if you'd allow me. Just keep in mind, this plan is not set in stone for me. | |

Couldn't get a Hummer? I'd be honored to go, but I don't know if I'd be able to get out there... my summers are always pretty busy :\

Let me know what your plans are once they're chiseled in, I'll schedule it around you if needed. I'm pretty flexible this summer, although I'm flying to Paris on the second week of June for 2 days and then to Illinois on July 1st and staying for two weeks. (If anyone lives out that way, drop me a PM and we can skirm. I'll be in the Knoxsville area...) - DrummerBoyz95 wrote:

I'll be willing to schedule around you as well. Let me know. Might be pushing this event back into Mid-July...as I'm going to want to do some local demos before really fielding it. I'm worried about the lack of ailerons...don't think I'll have enough articulation to keep a subject in camera in the event of high winds. I'm going to try the aileron mod as soon as I get my M/O.

| Sounds good, will definitely let you know. Keep me updated as well with any changes, etc.
edit: also, I could probably bring my Six-Colors if you needed me to. Both the blouse and trousers are large-reg.

Ya that'd work. I'm sure despat and six-colors looks the same from 150+ feet hehheh. Worst case Tod might have an extra set, he's a big guy. Theres a chance we'll be changing locations as well. Just got word from the paintball group that plays there on the weekends that they ran into some problems with the Sheriff's Department. Guess they had 2 or 3 squad cars roll in yesterday telling them they couldnt be there. It's public land and about 1 1/2 miles from any road...don't understand why there would be a problem...we've been going there for a few years now. So what I might do is check with the RC group that watches over the Calico area...but we might run into some problems if we brandish replicas when 4x4 and dirtbike groups are there. I'll try and find a weekend when it'll be empty...otherwise we may need to hike a bit to find a secluded area. Calico (Dry lake in the background is also a possibility, although it's often used for drag racing and rocketry groups)

I'd be wearing my Desert MARPATs, so if somebody else needed some Six-Colors I could lend them the cammies for the shoot. "Watch your language", I could probably play two parts, if you don't mind having an really big insurgent and a really big Coalition dude that looks the same, haha.
