| As some of you may have noticed (haha, just kidding) that I have been gone all weekend. This is because I was Turkey Hunting! Had a lot of fun, and killed one on my first day, he made me work for it too. I hiked 3 miles (crawling and stalking) through heavy brush and thorns until we made it to a ridge that the turkeys were over. As we set up for the shot, they all jumped over. As they did that, I ran up and shot the turkey three times with a 12 gauge shotgun. Game Over. This is my 2nd Turkey, and even though it isn't the biggest, I was mostly there for the experience. Here is some pictures if y'all are interested. WARNING: SOME BLOOD AND MAY BE DISTURBING TO SOMEThanks for looking! | |

Man I wish I could get a turkey...supposed to have been on a Tajon Ranch turkey hunt by now! How you plan to cook it? overkill? Not really. It was flying from me, a shot to the leg knocked it down, started to fly again, shot in wing, and then through the ear. I didn't shoot it in the leg and wing on purpose, just what was convient at the time. Turkey hunting is one of the hardest. Haha deer hunting in the fall, though, but that's easy. I'm gunna roast it and make some jerkey. edit: I shoot a Remington 870. I have a 20 gauge and a 12 gauge. The 12 is for turkey, and the 20 is for duck and pheasant. My rifle for deer hunting is a Remington 700 .270 | |

| Know what loads you were shooting? You guys don't have that no-lead law up there too, do you? Thoughts on the 870? I'm running an 1187, btw. Pretty sure my father's got an 870..I'll have to check with him. As you can see, I was born in the wrong state | |
