| So now that my friends are getting into airsofting, they need help on choosing guns and such. Well my friend's friend is willing to sell this Foreign Legion gun to my other friend for $50 and its barely even been used(haha, complicated I know). Is this gun any good? Has anyone had experience with it?

| Well, I'm a little concerned they misspelled "Legion", but... I guess I'd give the kid $40 for it. | |

| BWAHAHAHAA that foregrip is soooo fake.
No I still would not buy it. Your friend is better off saving his money and borrowing guns for the time being.

| As much as i love bullpups i'd pass on any airsoft version of the FA MAS (yes there's supposed to be a space there) unless you're willing to do some work on it.
But anyway $50 may be ok for it but it's an LPEG and he'd be better of probably bumming a gun off someone and saving up $50 more and picking up a CYMA AK.

| Also the fact that the FAMAS designs uses a Verson 1 mechbox. Which is extremely hard to work with mainly because of parts availability. | |

| You're not his friend. Friends don't let friends buy that "Watch your language". | |

Why? Curious about the gun here FA stands for Fusil Automatique which is Assault Rifle so FA is the guns separate designation. MAS is Manufacture d'Armes de St Etienne which means of the Saint-Étienne weapon factory. For some reason the French put the guns designation in front of the manufactures name thus giving it the spelling of FAMAS. They did the same thing with the MAS 36 calling it the Fusil MAS 36 (Rifle MAS 36) so it could just be a MAS thing. It doesn't really matter how you put it, it can be FAMAS or FA MAS but technically the proper way is with the space between designation and manufacture.
