| Im a beginner airsoft sniper. I've play one game. I had to use a 20$ pistol but it broke. They let me use their AEG. I was wondering what would be a good starter rifle. And also if you could tell me which brands makes the best sniper rifles and which ones make the worst sniper rifles. Thanks for you help! If you do help that is... | |

| UTG makes great beginner rifles, as is Echo1's ASR. I wasn't going to respond to this, but you calling it a "sniper rifle" instead of a "sniper" changed my mind. Welcome to the forum. | |

| Yes the ARS seems to be a very well built rifle. As for me, if you can get your hands on one get a Bar 10 I doubt you will be able to because you don't have airsoft connections that may have one still working.
But as said ASR or maybe the tsd m700 it's an exact replica of the Bar 10 just cheaper and still being made.

| Well.....Tokyo Marui IS THE BEST manufacturerer of any airsoft "replica" you will see......the Worst would be, in my humble opinion, would be either UTG or Double Eagle....I don't think crosman makes a sniper rifle because they would be THE worst then.....anyone disagree with my answer?

Correction..."replica"...not "weapon".

I beg to differ. Inokatsu and WE make the best GBB-Rs on the market, Marushin, Maruzen, Tanio Koba, and a lot of other smaller brands make better GBB Handgun replicas, Asahi makes what many 'Namsofters consider to be the best M60 VN replica on the market, the list goes on and on. I will give credit where credit is due, however. Tokyo Marui makes an excellent AEG, and are credited with pioneering the modern AEG. They make good, reliable GBB handgun replicas as well, but generally can't hold a candle to some of the more expensive ones from China and Japan. Just my little bit of input.

| ares makes some kick-ass snipers take the c-m200 for example, although socom gear has the barrett m82a1 though but those brands are more for advanced snipers. look on www.airsoftgi.com and it says on the left hand side "choose your mission" click sniper on that, you'll find your sniper there | |

I mean yes they are cool but they really aren't what snipers want to be carrying around. Most advanced snipers will go with the Dragonov, M700 variants, and L96's. The reason is these are great rifles, they are spring (dragonov is depending.) Spring is quite, easy to upgrade, and you know they are reliable. The Barrett is an AEG so you have to worry about that battery. It also has more moving parts instead of a simple design makes it so if it jams or breaks you can fix it in about 30 minutes. Now if the Barrett, or an other AEG DMR jams or break you have to take apart a gear box, or other stuff.
