| Drop the lighter and paracord. If you really need it for the event, keep it in a go-bag off the field. don't want to be carrying that crap around | |

| Get a small mirror or something of that sort. Any reflective surface that is small enough that you can hold it in your hand. When you come to a door, stick it around the corner to see if anybody's there. Other than that, I notice an extreme lack of a primary REPLICA.

We don't use weapons in airsoft.

| I agree, drop the paracord and lighter. Some places won't let you use a mirror because it's considered cheating.
How familiar are you with your first aid kit? Do you know where everything is and what it does? If not, you should take a few minutes and get to know it. That way you'll be able to respond without delay if something goes awry. You may want to bring some extra food and water beyond what your canteen can carry.

| Lonesniper, you're playing on an closed-field aren't you? I don't see a reason for the first aid kit then...as the field should have a "company kit". In fact, if you tried to treat someone you could get into legal trouble because your not a licensed first responder or medical assistant.
Just food for thought. If it's just a personal first aid kit and you don't treat anyone else, then theres not really that problem...but either way, there should be a large first aid kit on hand at the field...which would make a personal kit obsolete.

| Okay well I will drop the lighter and stuff, and the first aid kit isn't very big it's not like i am going to be doing brain surgery on the field, all it really has is some band aids a couple gauzes, alcohol towels and Tylenol.
As for a large first aid kit I'm not really all that sure I just have it for the little things you know like a cut that may get infected, head ache stuff you know.
and Capt-Crowbar I am going to be using a CYAM Ak-47 with two high caps I wasn't all that sure what I was going to be using because it's going to be loaned to me, but the team leader and co leader came by today and told me what I was going to be using.

And also, that's not a tactic I would suggest...

| In the games with building that I have played at, slicing the pie is a much more effective way to do things than using a mirror. Mirrors suck in low light situations, buildings used for airsoft are usually lower light...
GET A FLASHLIGHT! Tape/use innertube/paracord it to your AK. You WILL use a light in a CQB/MOUT environment. Lights upwards of 100 lumen or more are best from a tactical standpoint.

| I agree with what sticks said. It also adds intimidation. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people freeze up when they saw a flashlight on the wall. That's one reason why I ended up buying a 180-lumen weapons light. Lasers actually work pretty well to intimidate people too. I'd say even more so than weapons lights. | |

| Well I didn't actually need to use a flash light I had enough light to see everything, I did end up throwing my para cord in my utility pouch though and I am glad I did I needed some to make a belt because the trousers didn't fit me. and the lighter was given to this guy who smoked. | |
