| Come on guys, as hunters you should respect your harvest...
Watch what you say about your take or it'll become ammunition for anti-hunting groups. We do what we do to regulate ecosystems, not to kill.
Coyotes are considered vermin in most places, but they're still such beautiful creatures. I've only taken one in my entire life and I don't want to have to do it again...I love dogs, and when you get up close to a downed coyote its hard to find the difference.
Don't get me wrong, I love hunting...but I don't necessarily like to kill.

| People like you are the reason hunting gets a bad rap...you also sound like the type who goes for a gut shot then walks up and watces the animal die (granted I don't know you...but from what you typed thats the exact attitude people that do in fact do it)..and as for them being varmint? Yeah..thats BS..every study done shows that they are pretty much harmless..everything comes from peoples predjuduce...Read Shasta and Rogue (can buy for a penny on amazon) for some more info on that
They are like snakes...people hate them becouse of some dumb ass believes that were tought. In reality they provide valuable control for ACTUAL varmin like rats, mice and rabits.
Yeah, somtimes population control is needed and im all for that becouse it benifits the species far more then it harms it...but to go out and hunt just for the sake of killing is somthing I will never understand

| My friend's mom used to work at a place that would take in abused dogs, mainly Boxers, and find them foster homes. They already had two Boxers, one retarded Yellow Lab (it seriously was retarded), and a Black Lab. Sometimes they'd be fostering two or three more Boxers, or some large breed, so the whole house would be in total chaos. They once had this Old English Bulldog that had been beaten and set on fire by some asshole. I guess I looked similar to that asshole, because when I walked in to my friend's kitchen, that dog took me down hard and went for my throat. That was the only time I've ever been afraid of a dog. Lucky for me, my friend's dad and big brother were able to pull it off me. I ended up with no injuries, just a small bite mark on my arm. I don't blame the dog, I blame the \"Watch your language\" who abused it (excuse my French). I just don't see how any one could be so mean as to hurt a dog that didn't do a \"Watch your language\" thing to them. Dogs love so much, and ask for very little, IMO. | |

Don't get me wrong, I love hunting...but I don't necessarily like to kill. I was just kidding. Just trying to flush some anti's away from this thread. I do that without thinking. I do respect my harvest, and eat what I kill. I don't like the kill as much as I like the experience and the adrenaline rush. I have never, and never would abuse an animal. I agree that all animals have a place, and am a very respected hunter that has taken animals out of their misery from injuries from bad hunters. I can see how what I said could be taken wrong, but it wasn't my intention. Both of your dogs look cool, at least

| @Sno You eat Coyotes? Haha @Insane I just had a mental image of you chasing your prey down, tackling it, and tearing it's limbs off with your teeth. Sort of like Bear Grylls. | |

| Both of you ^^
But since apperently it seems it was a joke..meh
Heres my deal..instead of trying to scare away those agianst hunting try to win them over, explain that since theres no natural predators left and habitat is decreasing without hunting alot of those animals would die due to disease and starvation.
And you know what? If you do convert those they make "Watch your language" good conservationists (yeah, they protect wildlife so theres somthing to hunt)
Ive won a few over...and while they don't hunt they don't hate hunters..and insteaad of trying to get rid of hunters they work to protect habitat from devolopers who want to build sub divisions.
Heh I love bulldogs...thier cool..I think my favorate dogs would be my hounds, boer boel and a staffie.

| I lost my buddy the 29th of December pretty much the start of a bad luck year. But we got a new puppy and he well I'm not sure he's the weirdest little thing you could ever see (look at any of my modern pics of my load out and you'll see him) he's a toy poodle named Bubbles haha (Ironic we got him from a place called Bubbles and Bows.) he sticks his tongue out at you if you do it to him and if somebody gives me the bird he will bark at them.
Anyways Cute dogey she looks soft.

| Jarhead your dog is epic!
i've gone through so many dogs...... one, two, three and finally four dogs :'(
we have two at the moment but were on the edge on weather or not to take them to the back of the woods.....
most of all our dogs have eaten our animals, like chickens cats and such.... or have gotten ran over cause they were sleeping behind a tire (like one of our mini winnidog *can't spell taht* we still gave one left)
and the two dogs i have ATM have aten one of our goats..... so were giving them a second chance but if they do it again were talking to da woods and if we get rid of thoughs.... that would make it 6 dogs we have been through....
p.s. we live on a ranch | |

| if you live on a ranch you need to buy working class dogs with a pedigree. The parents also need to reguraly compete in trials and undergo genetic and temperment testing.
If the dogs weren\'t bred to limit prey drive thier going to attack and most likly kill anything thats percieved as prey.

| @Zane
One of the dogs he was part husky part german shepard, he was good and nice to all the animals....
but my big bro had a blackmouth cur (a hog hunting dog) and so he was into chasing and nipping at animals which tought the younger pupy to do the same thing.... and then my cousin came over with abunch of hunting dogs, since he goes hog hunting. and the blackmouth cur cam with them (which i didn't want) and got one bite of hog, so because of that he started to attempt to kill all of our goats and then taught my puppy to do the same (but my puppy only barked at them... he din't bite them)
soo..... ya hopfully we getrid of the hunting dog and keep my puppy, cause hez a good little nuthead, just has bad influences

| She's a cool lookin' shepherd mix.... I have a shepherd-Rottweiler mix, a west highland terrier, and a pure-blood shepherd. It's funnier than heck to watch them play because the shepherd-Rottweiler (alias Baxter) is under a constant onslaught from the two puppies(alias Chloe and Kaepo). That dog hasn't had a peaceful day in two years, I just laugh whenever I see them | |
