...climb MT. WHITNEY!

So a few weeks back if you remember, I went offroading and airsofting in the Sierras...our field was at the base of Mt. Whitney and the entire time it was within eyesight.
So that got us thinking..."why don't we climb that?". After looking at the permit process and legal factors for climbing Whitney (which is the tallest mountain in the continental united states)...we are officially announcing our intentions of climbing it next June.

This'll be the same group that I backpacked the Grand Canyon, Havasupai, and Half Dome (Yosemite) with...

Anyone ever done this or filed for a permit to climb it?
We'll get grandfathered in for priority registration if a "friend" has received a permit in the past.
