| My local surplus store has used issued balistic(?) goggles. I know stupid question but should that be able to take a beating of BB's? I don't see why not honestly but still.
Also can you change out the lenses on them? I'm thinking of putting on orange lenses to make everything more light, or the tinted lenses not sure.

| Ask the guy at the store what model they are and search for lenses for that model.
Btw: any lens makes everything darker; even clear ones. Colors like yellow, blue, and orange are (if I have my facts straight) made to increase definition in certain lighting situations. I usually use clear lenses for airsoft. Orange lenses are better for skiing, to reduce glare from the snow, and to yield more depth, so you can tell what the geometry of the slope is rather than just seeing featureless white.

| I'm not sure what type of goggles I use but my uncle got me a pair that I use to go hunting. It brings out the shadows and outlines of things more clearly and I will use it sometimes for airsoft. Although if it starts to get dark everything really gets dark with those goggles. If I can figure out the make and model I will link it for you. | |

Isn't that exactly what I said? - Omega Lambda wrote:

| I have a pair strapped around my k-pot and have used them in airsoft before. If the lens is in good condition they should be safe for use during airsoft since mil-spec requires all eyewear to be ballistic grade which theirs is considerably higher then the ANSI Z87.1 standard i believe.
As for changing the lenses, mine came with a tinted black/brown and green lens and i've swapped them in and out a few times. If i remember right it can be a pain but it's not very hard.

| Lenses are perfect along with everything else excluding the foam which is a little worn and most have straches on the frame. | |

Whoops, sorry killyouno5, mistook you for the OP. Thinking that you were the OP, it looked like you were trying to argue with me, but seeing that you're not, it appears that you were corroborating. My mistake.
