| Hello Men.
I had a quick question: Who are your favorite Airsoft Mentors/Leaders, and why do you follow them? And or what have they taught you?

| I'll agree with white wolf. AA seems to be a GIANT mentor bot built to assist, run by the hundreds of members | |

| I have no mentors, at least not in airsoft. I can't really imagine anyone really "looking up to" someone in airsoft. | |

| Yeah I don't really roll that way. I learn from people, of course, but I don't idolize anyone haha, even outside of airsoft. | |

| Dunno if this qualifies as an "Ask a Pro" question, but whatever When I first started out, the "Outlawz" (airsoft team) were a big reason for me becoming more active in airsoft. If you live in Southern California, it's likely you've heard of them at some point or another. They're a team made up of players 13-60 years of age...that practices the art of "NO BULLSHIT" airsoft. They seemed to have everything that I wanted out of the sport...the teamwork, the respect, the toys...so I raised my standards in order to build a friendship between my team at the time "Specter Airsoft". We ended up "merging" and all the players from Specter were taken on by the "Outlawz". Learned alot from them in the short time that I was on their team. Namely: that respect is earned...teamwork wins games...and "newbies" are the greatest asset to airsoft, so treat em well so they'll come back and grow in the sport. Though I no longer play at SCV, I get invites to their private games every once in a while...they're a fun group. | |

Couldn't of said it better myself, Durkee. Don't always hark on the younger, under-age players. It tends to turn them away when the older players are constantly ignoring thier questions and critisizing them for mistakes made on the field, and if we keep doing that, then sooner or later, there will be no one to play the sport, after that it will die off and be over taken by-ugh!- paintball! We don't want that, now do we? So always encourage the young'ns, no matter how gung-ho they may be. I Remember when I was younger, and the most frustrating thing to me was my inability to play because I was under-age. The funny thing about that, was that I had more kills under my belt than a lot of the older guys! So a lot of them may be just as good at airsoft as some of us adults.

| I'd have to say Slob because of his humor and insight. Some people on other forums for similar reasons. | |

| There's a guy I play with named Alex, nicest guy you'll ever meet. He's quite possibly the best player I've ever played against, not just because he's good, but because he doesn't let it go to his head. He still helps noobs and will always answer your questions, no matter how stupid or how many times he's answered it before. I try to be as much like him as possible. | |
