| I'm looking into doing a navy seal nam loadout.
I got my tigers and an alice rig just not sure what to throw on it could some of you pitch me some gear/kit lists.
So far I have WL tiger stripe uniform Jungle boots Y suspenders Pistol belt I just don't know if they wore the same rig as other troops or if they chose what to throw on what was issued what wasn't yeah I'm stuck.

| you may want to look into an m16a1 or a colt commando (which is basically an m4 with non removable carrying handle) | |

| well you can ditch the boots. navy seals in vietnam didn't wear boots (as said my mr lonesniper in the military facts thread) honestly, i can't really think of anything you should get. I think you have all the basics, you now need to move on to the specifics of the loadout. All i know is that the navy seals in nam, moved very lightly, they more than often didn't take the issued flak jackets (actually none of them did) So what you basically need in your loadout in regards to specific gear. On the alice belt. you need 2 canteens, 1 utility/med kit, at least 2 m14 style, or vietnam era m16 pouches. and maybe like a kaybar replica and hook it on to the shoulder and have it hanging down. (like most spec ops do) | |

| Well I'm not so bad ass I will go bare foot haha.
Anyways yeah thats what I was thinking but throwing a drum mag on the M16 it's what they favored so might as well do that. I'm also thinking of getting an M14 so it can fill the DM role and work with the loadout. So pretty much 2x M14 mags 2x Canteens/pouches Ass Pack K bar
What about pistol holsters? I don't know what they had I'm going to watch full metal jacket again to pin point any of those little things.

yes, do that, get the smoke grenade. and hook that to the top of your harness just like the kaybar (but not upside down )

| Exactly what I was thinking along with maybe a pinapple nade shell.

| A thing to keep in mind about 'Nam era SEALs is that they were sent to 'Nam with nothing. They had to go to Sears and buy their own weapons. Just something to think about. | |

| Navy Seals wore vests in vietnam too. so its your choice when it comes to that gear. Navy Seals did wear jungle boots so ur good.
What would be cool for a rifle/LMG option is the Stoner 63 if you can get ur hands on it. it was an exclusive SEAL firearm.
The pineapple grenade was also decommissioned in the nam era so u can get a baseball one if you want. Smoke grenade is a very good idea! You don\'t even need to wear your tiger stripe pants. Lots of seal just wore Levis Jeans and a camo top of their choice either tiger stripe of this pattern that resembles woodland.

| Well I doubt I can get a stoner I like how the look very beautiful, but I think I'm going to use an M14. To cover my long range for every era I do. I thought pinapples were used in 'nam but ehh whatever might as well replicate.
So
H suspender Pistol belt butt pack 2x canteens 2x m14 mag pouch smoke nade M w/e nade K-bar medic pouch Ammo pouch

| So I have figured pretty much everything and once I get some money I am going to start buying all I need.
Anyways I am going to get a real K bar. Just because I will actually have more uses for it then a fake one, plus my uncle still has his USMC K bar and MAY very low chace but he may give/sell it to me. I want to know if seals used USMC K bars or if it was literally whatever the \"Watch your language\" they could get their hands on.

| But would the USMC K bar from that time period estimated work for the load out? or Do I need to get a naval K bar. | |

| They are all more or less the same. It like a 1911. They have the same look, but all that is different is materials used. or a different more efficient part. All the kbars are pretty much similar. No one will call you out on that. "Hey your navy seal loadout isn't realistic because thats a marine kbar, there aint no squid gonna use somethin us devil dogs use"
To put it simply. All kbars are more or less the same.

| A Clif bar, some beef jerkey, a few medical supplies for injuries you could sustain in the woods, a headlamp, extra batteries, extra socks, paracord, multitool, note pad, pen, sharpie, a flask to match your lighter, any number of things. | |
