Hey guys. My mom is being pretty lame about me airsofting so I'm just going to buy a project gun and work on it until it works and I can play again. My question is, which of these two boneyard guns should I purchase?

CM028: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=275&products_id=2606
OR
Dboys RK02: http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=32417

So if you could give me any tips, advice, suggestions, any info that might be valuable about these two boneyard guns or any boneyard purchase experiences you might have, it is greatly appreciated.

The cheaper one. Put all new internals in it made by a respectable company, and make it the best AK in the world... then give it to me for $41! Very Happy

Well I don't necessarily want to make it the "best gun in the world" (or sell it). I just want to bring it back to stock....or a little better Wink

Right now I'm leaning towards the Dboy... I've never owned a full metal gun.

Really, then do it! They're amazing, I will never buy another plastic gun again (unless it's a good shotgun Very Happy)

be warned about compatability. DBOYS has a totally different take down than TM based AK's (so not everything is compatible minus the gear box and magazines~)

On that note (sorry for the minor hijack), is G&G TM compatible or ICS, VFC, etc?

I'm going to say it isn't TM compatible but I dunno for sure....

Does the Evike Holy Cow magazine deal work with boneyard guns?

Actually the 1 cent one is "out of stock".......the only one available is $3.

I'm kinda wondering if I should just save up until I have the money to buy a new one...but that's kinda no fun. I dunno.

Both of my glocks were projects, and they are both my favorite guns for that reason. I would say go for it if you like a challenge!

Ehhh now there's another gun in the mix.

It's between the AKS74: http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=32417

and an AKS74U: http://www.kapowwe.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?
