| I've been looking at a Tokyo Marui Spring pistol. It has like 220 fps and at 60ft w/ .2 BBs curve up, so I guess if I use .25 it should be accurate to at least 70ft. I play in a woodland/ forest type field. It seems like if I get 2 extra mags and stay low, that I could be somewhat effective. Sure I'll be facing AEGs and snipers but if they're preoccupied, I could sneak within 80ft possibly. it will cost about $75 for gun, 2 spare mags, and shipping. There is a Marui Spring M16, but that would cost like $130 for gun and shipping. It has an accurate range of 130ft. Which is the better buy? Please don't suggest an AEG or sniper or shotgun. | |

| Ya honestly you're getting your price up into the range of some great AEG's. I know you don't want us to suggest it, but it's the smarter way to go. A spring pistol won't do you much good, even if you put all kinds of money into it.
You can easily go and buy a Cyma or even some Echo-1 products.

| Honestly, I'm getting tired of seeing these posts. Just buy an AEG for crap's sake. I seriously have no idea why you are even considering spring guns. Like a week ago it seemed like you set your sights on the JG G36c, I thought that would've been good. Now you want a spring pistol. | |

| I don't want an AEG FOR CRAP'S SAKE!!! I don't want to have to charge a battery, buy gas, worry about electronics, and I want a quiet gun (i.e. a spring gun). if you aren't going to give me advice on the guns I've mentioned, the ndon't post anything. | |

Settle down a bit drummer! Let him do with his money what he wants...we can only suggest options, if he wants to listen thats up to him.

....AEGs don't use gas. Gas guns use gas. @Insane Mercc I'm settled as can be, just dumbfounded at why Rusty keeps looking at options that will surely disappoint him. Rusty, If you REALLY want a spring pistol, the farthest shooting ones are probably TM's. So get your TM and pwn noobs with its springy goodness.

| In all reality, I agree 100% with the above suggestions by Drummer. I can't bring myself to suggest a springer like that for a primary. If you want to get anywhere in the hobby/sport, AEG/gas is the way to go. And that's all I have to say about that. | |

| No offense dude, but we're not going to recommend bad guns to you. We don't want to back you up in making a purchase you'll regret. This thread is like going up to some customers at a car dealership and asking whether you should get a trike or a pogo stick. If cost is an issue, use coupon codes. "tim" for 10% off ASGI. If your order is over $100, this will stack with free shipping. "rocket" for 15% off Evike. If noise is an issue, just go semi-auto. With one or two shots, nobody will know where you are. This really isn't a good place to ask about spring pistols. If it's such a hassle to use electric and/or gas guns, then why do so many serious airsofters and noobs alike own them? I do see where you're coming from. I was afraid to get my first GBB pistol because I'd never used a gas gun before. I thought it would be a hassle to gas up and keep maintained. As it turned out, it was really easy. A complete non-issue. Please don't hate me for this, but I went to the trouble of putting together a shopping list for you at Evike. I'm not saying you should get exactly this. It's just an example of how cost-effective a nice gun can be. JG G36 (125)2 extra mags (3)total = 128 x .85 = 108.8 shipping (10+/-) grand total is around $120 Or you can buy one used from the classifieds section of an airsoft forum like this one. And again (it begs repeating) AEGs are actually pretty quiet when in semi-auto. If you choose to spend $75 or $130 on a spring gun, you will have wasted your money. You will realize that you could have gotten something much better for that money. We just don't want to see you suffer like that. The same way many of us have. It sucks when I know that I wasted money on something. But hey, it's your money. Whatever we say, the final choice is up to you bro. @Insane: LOL I've been sig'd | |
