utg l96 vs A&K SVD

So, my team sniper noticed that me and my friend are getting new guns so now he wants a new sniper rifle. He's sick of his M324 and now he wants either the A&K SVD Dragunov or UTG L96. I have read myself that the A&K SVD has great internal and externals, a lot of metal. I told him that, but he said it's a bit long. I told him that it beats the boxy feeling of the UTG L96, even without a scope. So he wants to know which will go "farther" and will be more accurate.

Any sniper rifle needs an expert's work out of the box, which is why I don't get why almost every new player wants a sniper rifle

I'm pretty sure the SVD is nicer than the L96 out of the box...but I could be wrong.
