| Ok so heres the thing guys im thinking about getting back into the heavy gunner buisness. The problem is that if I can't get my A&K para SAW im gonna get an XM8. For my old one I had 6 straight clips clamped togther but this time I want a drum or c mag and if anyone knows of one that works with XM8s thats 50$ or under i'd like to know about it. Thanks. | |

| You will not find a C Mag for under $100 (thats anything quality at least). That being said I would go for the A&K because of realism. Echo 1 came out with a SAW. Its the same price as the A&K, and I believe its metal too(85% sure).
Here in Ohio you are not a support gunner unless you have a replica of a real LMG. have you considered an MG36(full sized G36 with a Cmag and a G36 bipod)? If you have a larger battery its a very effective gun.
The support gunner is the second most expensive role in airsoft (behind very dedicated sniper). If your looking to pray and spray go with the XM8 or a better gun; however if you REALLY want to play the support role then theres no question go with the SAW or another LMG.

| Well my scout got a saw to fool around with but he dry fired it so much it killed itself. So I know the saws ability and I did use the XM8 as a very able support gun but I think your right I was going to also use it for spotter purposes. Ill get the saw thanks. | |

So what exactly is your question here? Are you asking if you should get a saw or an XM8? Or are you asking if we can find you a drum or c-mag for under $50? Or what?

| If your looking to do alot of spraying, along with praying, get the Echo1 Saw. Its worth the money and all of Echo1 products are durable. XM-8's don't look to realistic to me, id get an M-16 or M-4. | |

| I agree with kkoerber, they aren't great. Sometimes youll think the frame looks cool and then down the road youll hate it. The M-16 works good for me cuz it gives that extra touch of confidence knowing that your using the gun that your appearance (ACU, BDU) suggests | |

| Using a SAW can put you at a very expensive position i.e. buying bbs, gearbox parts, batteries, smart chargers...ect.
Im going to have to add that a MG36 is a gun you have to make. basically you buy a CA G36K and then another $300 in upgrades.
Get the SAW, hope for the best, plan for the worst. I wouldn't even consider the XM8 a worthy support weapon.
