| If anyone who lives in Canada has ordered from AirSplat online, do you know if customs or anything like that will seize an AEG if I buy it ? AirSplat DOES international orders, but on their site it states that they don't know policies for every country. So if you know, could you tell me if you think my order would go through or not. Thanks. | |

| Yes you can ship to Canada. Yes they will stop it if it's metal.
Check out Tokyo Marui and other plastic series...Canadian laws are weird, so metal guns are considered "replicas"...while plastic ones are considered "toys". But I have heard of metal ones getting through customs...though you don't need to risk it really, metal is just aesthetic.

So I can get a plastic gun, but not a full metal ? And does it have to be see-through ? I'm just buying a primary to basically use as a secondary. So could I get even a JG Ak47 ? Do you have any ideas or anything ?

I'm not really familiar with Canadian laws, but yes that is how it was explained to me. See-through? I have no idea. I can't see why it would have to be see-through; plastic is plastic when It's going through package screening. They'll never actually see the physical airsoft replica unless they suspect illegal intentions and opening the package is necessary. JG AK47, I don't know much about them...but I'm pretty sure they are full metal? G&G has a great line of plastic AEG's on the market if your budget allows. - NoNeed2Hate wrote:

That sounds familiar, I'll research it. Gimme a few minutes, guys.

| I'm not really finding consistent sources...but I'm thinking this is the best answer for you: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=40318Plain and simple: You can try and you'll probably get your shipment...but there is still a rather large chance that it'll be stopped by customs. | |

Sorry to keep on coming at you with the questions, but if you can wing on this one for me. Do you think I could order http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-XL-AK47-0509.htm and have it go through. Just asking. Based off of your knowledge. Thanks.

| Buying from Airsplat and shipping to Canada? That's like trying to drive an Audi cross country...it wont happen.
Airsplat is horrrrrribly unreliable...paired with Canada's tendency to not allow anything fun into the country (besides all the weed you guys are smoking up there)...it's highly unlikely that you'll get the product.

| My friend lives in Canada and tried to order an AEG that was plastic, and they wouldn't allow it. In Canada, they consaider airsoft guns as firearms. So, when my buddy got his and test fired it, the RCMP came and confiscated the gun, and gave him a warning. The Canadian Rules are kind of ridiculous | |

Be sure to look at the date before you post something; that thread is a year old.
