| My friend is looking at his first AEG and is looking at a getting an m4. He narrowed it down to a Combat Machine and an ISC sportline M4. Out of the two, what would be better performance stock? Just putting this under ASAP b/c right now the ICS is a daily shocker for Airsoftgi.

| Well he would be keeping it stock for a while, and even if he did then he probably would only upgrade the Barrel, spacer, nub, and downgrade the spring. | |

| I have no experience with ICS guns but i've heard their Sportline is basically junk. Combat Machine however is awesome and i have used their guns. Best lineup of guns for the price out there. | |

I know a guy on another forum is a ICS "addict" and he said, as well as reviews by very reputable reviewers, the ICS M4 has the same gear box as the ICS Pro line. The older ICS guns use to be junk, but the newer ones & the sport lines are great. If he isn't a airsoft tech, I would go for the G&G Combat Machine. The main reason he should get a ICS is that they are very easily upgradeable, but it doesn't sound like he will be upgrading much. If you live near a CQB & field, get the ICS & a extra split gear box with a lower FPS spring for quick FPS swaps. If not, go for the G&G. | |

| My vote goes for the 'safe' choice, being the combat machine M4. Sure, ICS really COULD be great. But we know C.M. Are reputable. | |

| Ok thanks guys, but the reason he is wary of a Combat machine are the problems I had with mine. Also, yes, we do have CQB and field within an hour of where we live. | |
