| So I'm still looking around for a gun, (don't have the money because I'm a poor college student ) and I have become confused. I like the airsoft gi line, and I have heard many good things about them. I was just wondering, what's the difference between the G4-A3 and the G4-A5? The only things that I could determine was cosmetic and the small price difference. Is that all there is to it? Or is there something more? It's just been bugging me for a while because I can't figure it out. And while I'm posting this, might as well ask another related question. If I get either of these, and am acting in the role of DM, will I need any upgrades right away, or is this good as a starter weapon? Much Appreciated, ZedHead | |

| No, you shouldnt have to do anything to it internally. The gun already shoots 380-400fps. This could be improved, but I like to stay under the 400 mark (Most fields have limits in terms of velocity, and although 400 wont get you booted, it may put range limits on your gun). So with that said, you should be fine. Anything that you do with it internally will ruin the warrenty anyways, so use it 'till it breaks. Then upgrade it. | |

Yeah, but it also says that the A3 has a TBB. They both say in the specs that they have a 6.03 mm TBB. So I guess it's just the RIS mostly that's different? | |

| A5 just has a slightly nicer RIS with a integrated flip up sight. They are the exact same base gun, ASGI just puts on different externals. | |
