| Because a shorter gun is easier to maneuver in tight situations.
But seriously -- the only difference is externals. (and barrel length obviously)

| The DMR will probably be a little more accurate due to it's longer barrel but that's about. | |

| well lets put it this way. Would you rather clear a room with a big DMR rifle that will be a pain to maneuver with? or a small compact rifle?
would you rather take a shot from far away with a short barrel and the shot will end up flying to the side or take a long shot with a longer barrel and hit dead center?
there are always trade-offs to consider. I wouldn't say that a gun has a better addvantage over another. Everything is a trade off.
for example CQB you are sacrificing distance for speed and maneuverability for long range you are sacrificing speed and maneuverability for distance for the classification between those too (lets use a regular AK47 as an example) you are sacrificing a little distance, a little speed and maneuverability. So it evens out in the end anyway
as you can see there is really no advantage. only a trade-off

| Go with the G4-a3, don't bother with the DMR, just extra money for a longer barrel, it'll prolly make nearly no difference other than a little more accuracy at a longer ranger, but it really doesn't matter, with airsoft I much prefer going close and quick than shooting from afar and hoping I got someone... | |

| its a good gun. I'm decking it out with systema internals though.
If you can handle an m16 in close quarters this'll be even easier to use.
