Poem writing... yeah

Airsoft

The adrenaline pulses though my veins by the gallons
I lick the salty drops of sweat off my trembling upper lip
Gripping my muddy weapon tight, I prepare myself
Physically, I am ready
But in my head, only questions are in my thoughts
Instinctively, my body moves towards the ground
Hiding from the rain of pellets above
I concentrate, and my mind clears
No more fear
No more questions
No more pain
Instead, they’ve been replaced
With strength
With Courage
With sound of mind
My eyes flicker about, as if the world around me is traveling faster then light
A let up in the snaps and pings around me signals my chance
My head pulses, my heart beats
I stand
I run
I charge
I yell
I bring my weapon up to my shoulder
And place the cherry red dot on my targets
Whap, whap, whap, whap
The sound rings through my head
From the corner of my vision, a figure appears
Zip, zip, zip
Ping, ping, ping
My leg stings, my arm burns
I fall
Game Over
