| My decision has been finalized as of, err, fifteen minutes ago. I am moving to Australia! Hurray! I'm going to pursue a postgraduate in Sydney, stay for a year or two (because of personal matters), and the move back to the States. I'm nerve shot at the moment, but in an excited, nervous kinda way. It's going to be overwhelming with bunches of people with hilarious accents around all the time! Ever since I was a kid, I've never been able to sustain myself from laughing at Australian accents.
There's only one problem...airsoft is outlawed in Australia! \"Watch your language\"! It's mind-numbing to think about no airsoft for a couple of years, and I'm gonna be rusty when I come back. Any thoughts?

| Sweet! Australia is one of the countries i plan to visit if i can ever get the funds to travel the world a bit.
Sucks about airsoft though. Paintball as far as i know is still legal over there so that wouldn't be a bad alternative to airsoft.

| I love Australian women. Thinking about taking quite a few HOPS over there in the next few years(if you catch my drift) . Good luck, fortunately they have pretty loose gun laws, so go shooting more? Tactical shooting? sticks | |

| Hope you enjoy your time down under.......... A little bit of light at the end of the tunnel, There is Legislation currently before the Austrailian Parlement regarding changes in the laws pertaining specificaly to making AS Legal inside the Boundries of Australia. The biggest barrier to be overcome is the Laws regarding the Appearance, all Military Firearms, Military Appearance Replicas or shooting style guns are Illegal, just to own a Non-Firing Replica requires a Special Permit in some Austrailian States and in others they are outright banned. Now with that said, there is a large AS Community in Austrailia, all games and events are held on Private property, and is usualy organized on a `` Who do you Know ´´ basis. Before anybody asks, `` If it is illigal, how do they get the Replicas ?? ´´, the same way players in Canada do, Order the Parts, and build your own. As a side note, Springers are technicaly Legal and can be imported, same laws regarding the appearance apply so you may be running into games that are VSR dominated | |
