| O.K. Guys,
Dead serious, no B.S., Jokes, Games or smart a$$ remarks.
I don´t do this often, but I´m going to share a story with you that leads to my question, and please give me an honest answer, then I will later give the final explanation.
My daughter shares the same penchant for history as myself, some of her interest vary from mine but she is activly engages in learning her heritage history, today she took a trip with a few friends, kind of a fact finding/let´s check this out/this looks interesting road trip. When she got home I knew that this trip hit on some major nerves, before she could go into details about the day, what she had seen, what she had learned, she broke down in tears.
Before I give out the rest of the information, I have to know.....
What do you use your Computers for ? Their Primary function in your life ?
Honest answers please, Thanks

| I generally use them to keep in contact with friends and keep my knowledge of things up to date. Buying things also comes to mind. Primarily used to keep in contact with others.

| I spend much of my time using it for schoolwork, a portion of the time is used keeping in contact with people, and some of it for airsoft related things IE this forum, and a minimal amount for some games. | |

| 1. Networking & Blogging (Airsoft Allies, HighDeas, Tumblr, Facebook) 2. General Fun (Youtube, Hulu) 3. News (BBC News, CNET, independent report bloggers) You really can't take the internet seriously...so I don't It really was created by stoners. Know what one of the first text packets sent over the internet was? "Bubble bubble bubble bubble cough cough" One of the founding members of HighDeas was a programmer during the internet boom...he says they were all just a bunch of potheads out to change the world. | |

| Education is a priority for me, coming in second is fitness "research."
Leisure is what I do when I'm not learning, or working out, or doing school work. I write alot of essays.

| Ok, Thanks guys for the honest answers, here comes the rest of the story, and the reason for my question. Here are some pictures of the place she visited, and maybe you can understand why she got so shook up, So, not to make the thread to picture heavy ( 180 to choose from ), you get the idea. After she had calmed down a bit, I asked her, What did you expect ? Answer, I didn´t know !!, to which I responded, What do you use your PC for ? and now it is clear to me that this is not a gender specific thing, her Answer, Chatting, Games, E-Mail ect, ect, ect. well being a bit surprised i asked her, do you realize that never in the history of mankind, have the masses had access to so much information and history, all at the end of their fingertips ? Answer, No I know, and I will be informing myself before I visit anything like that again. | |

| That's tough... Yeah it's a blessing and a curse that so much information is available so easily. For whoever is curious, the gate in the 3rd pic reads something along the lines of "Work will make you free" - Quote :
- The actual meaning of `Arbeit Macht Frei ´is, The Work will set you Free.

| Last year my social studies teacher took a trip to Germany and went to one of the concentration camps, you could tell he was changed as a person because of it. He's German and other than those terrible events he is proud of his heritage so it really resonated with him. | |

Even these morbid events on Germany's record sheet, you have to feel pride in your nation. What many don't understand is that there were so many German heroes inside of Germany that fought the hand of the Nazi regime because they knew it was right to do so. The Germans who hid those facing persecution...spoke up and encouraged others to speak up...resisted the propaganda...even those who revolted in silence, represent Germany and humanity. The wronged masses may have been blinded, but the eyes of the righteous few can bring light to the darkest of nights.
