| So i picked up a used CA m15a4 for $60. I plan to make it a project gun. It looks pretty sexy as it is, so i might just keep it in the m4a1 style I haven't heard much on the sportline series, can you guys tell me a bit about it??

| I started to do some work on it. I discovered that Tue sporting plastic body is a battle LOS so I will be adding the metal body that i have. I reshimmed the gearbox to the point where everything is rotating smoothly with minimal sound and to the point where I can rotate it fast and it will keep going.
I will be adding an RIS soon enough and perhaps get a shorter barrel. I also plan to paint it with a snakes style paint job. (seal style)
I will post an updated pic soon
Thoughts? | |

| Be sure to post those pics once its finished the paint job sounds sweet! I've actually never tried sportline, though. I've seen 'em and always wondered how anything Classic Army could sell at such a low price. | |

[/url] To say it all without a lot of words: they are Pieces of crap. Definitely make sure you replace the wiring. That is one of the worst parts on it.

I have a standard classic army m4 laying around as well. I'm using the gearbox from that as a platform.... actually I am using the entire gun. The sporting is justvfor spare parts.... so my plan went awry I guess haha

| I have not heard good things about the CA sportline series...but I'm sure it'd actually be perfect for a project gun. | |

| It was easier to do than i thought. I still have a few things to do to the m4, like added the fake bolt under the dust cover so my gb isn't exposed. Also I need to find a way to make the dust cover stay where in place (it loose ATM) Also need to convert the connection type to Deans connectors. After that it will be 100% complete | |
