m4 crane stock help?

Ok so i'm trying to remove my combat machines crane stock to put an m16 fixed stock on it. When I was removing the buffer tube I realized that the small type conector would not fit through the wire and screw hole. I pulled more wire out of the gearbox and found that there is a red and balck wire split bye a fuse type thing.



Can I disconect these wires and the reconect them? If not anyone know a way around this problem??

That's a junction between your fuse box and gearbox wires I think. They should be fine as long as they are connected and taped.
