| Hello.
Well, I've been looking at airsoft rifles lately, thinking of something I can buy that would be more reliable than my G3 if I can't fix it.
So, mainly I've been looking at the AGM Full Metal M16 or the CYMA CM048. I have been leaning toward the CYMA, but after thinking that two of my friends have M4's, I've been rethinking my problem.

| My opinion is an ASGI G4. Plastic body (I don\'t know if you wanted metal, but it's kind of a waste of money to get metal), but they're very nice replicas, and don\'t have the classic "M4" look. You should look into that. Anyways, AK's limit you when it comes to large scenarios with two opposing "militaries" as AK-74's and 47's are commonly seen as a cheap, gourilla-type weapon. But it's all up to you. More suggestions will come, but for now, mine is the ASGI G4 Series. | |

| Between AGM and Cyma, I'd trust Cyma...so it's not really about AK vs AR. You're not going to be able to share magazines with your friends, though.
Either way, Cyma is a great company and AK's are \"Watch your language\" sexy. Go for it! AK's can be used for PMC, OPFOR, SF, and foreign impressions.

| He's right. It depends though. What are you more into? Just having a plain replica, or being able to customize your replica to fit your personal needs? (Best way to narrow your options down) | |

| @alexkmmll I was looking for a metal body, since with my scenario's, I need my guns to be really tough.
@Spl. Durkee Thanks for the input. I'll take that in. I was realizing that CYMA was a bit better company as far as quality goes, I was just thinking that the M16 is a bigger "base set up" than the AK. Also I do have one friend that uses an AK, and I was thinking that since the V.3 gearbox is a little bit sturdier than a V.2 Gearbox, I could use as a light support role, if needed. However, I would have to be ready to upgrade it to take the extra stress.
Also, I am fine with having a plain replica, however I realize the tactical advantage of customizability (<--- new word)

| Plastic is very tough. Better than metal in some cases because it can absorb shock better. I know that ASGI dropped their G4 from 10 feet several times with no damage to any piece of the plastic body. But it's up to you. It will cost you about another $100 for a metal compared to a plastic. | |

just because its metal means nothing my mp5's metal charging handle broke, if it was ABS it would still be around to abuse!

| @drummerboy That's the exact gun I picked out. I think that there is much more support for the AK so I think I'll start saving for it. Plus it's still cheap enough for me to buy some extra hi-caps (don't judge please) and a UTG crossdraw vest. Also, for the CYMA CM048, I have seen torture test videos where it has stood up to the punishment amazingly. I BEHOLDETHS TEH LINKAGE!!! (I think I've seen that somewhere before... sorry if I just stole somebody's line) CM048 Torture Test | |
