| I've been getting more and more into airsoft, and I've been thinking about a new weapon (not that mine isn't good, I'm just facing better people) The WE GBB M14 has come into my mind many times. Does anybody have any expeireince with this gun? Heres a link: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=6988 | |

| Hm, I wouldn't go with WE, I'd go with Classic Army or G&G. But what do I know, I just carry big LMGs all day...

| Well, they make OK pistols, and I don't know about their rifles. AEGs are much more complicated. But I do know that G&G and CA are two of the best airsoft brands out there (in my opinion). | |

| What platform? I would go G&P or KWA if looking at an M4 or M16 respectively, and G&G if looking at M14. | |

| If you want specifically a gas M14, get the WE. Performance wise and practicality wise, I would get a G&G AEG. | |

I already have a G&G M16, and I have enough problems with the hop up alone. Thanks though

| WE pistols are not favorable, however their long arms are pretty good i hear. However you said youre facing better people, and need a better gun....well performance wise, this guy aint got nuthin on an AEG. GBBR, especially in semi-auto, just don\'t have what it takes to compete with the common AEG...not yet atleast. Your opponents will have several magazines 30-300 BBs which they can unleash on full auto, and you will most likely only have one 30 rd. Mag because theyre so expensive, and you only have semi auto.
Think about it, you WILL be out gunned. The only way i would buy one is of youre never alone and youll always have guys left and rihlght to provide you with good cover and firepower. All depends on how and where you play i guess....
Just my two cents | |

Just my two cents Couldn't agree more. WE pistols took center stage for a while because they were some of the cheapest on the market...but they just don't compare to anything else in the price range right now. GBBR's are wonderful concepts and I would love to see them become synonymous with airsofting (I would definitely become more active again), but at the current time they just don't have the capabilities that your standard AEG has. I second the G&G M14's...the company and their subsidiaries have proven to be some of the best intermediate AEG suppliers and now have a massive chain of distributors in the US, so don't expect to run into the problems that come with buying from China/Japan. The main point being that they're actually licensed from FN and ZM Weapons Systems so they can legally manufacture their replicas. Can't say that for most overseas HQ'd companies.

| I have a we pistol, and you guys are absolutely right. It gets the job done but I wish that I'd gotten a KWA pistol. I just crave accuracy, range, and ROF (semi-auto if the other 2 are good enough). But don't we all? I don't want a bolt action springer, but I don't want an A.E.G.... any suggestions? | |

| 90% player 10% weapon but anyways i would definately say CA or G&G m14 because gas doesnt work quite well in winter depending on your location if it gets really cold.... ok then the CA is a clone of the G&G so they can only use CA/G&G mags with that said they use standard gear sets and with that said they use a AUG hop up | |

| I wouldn't recommend the Classic Army. A friend of mine has the SOCOM version and his trigger mech won't stay in without a rubber band around the gun. | |

| I'd back up the CA/G&G M14, my friend just got a CA (the shorter "Scout/SOCOM" version) and it performs unbelievably well. It's ridiculously accurate out to at least 150 feet (the longest distance we could find), and has a ludicrous ROF with a 9.6v battery. Earlier he'd said that there were some double-firing issues on Semi-Auto, but we didn't have that problem when he came to my house this past Monday.
@Drummer - I was typing this when you posted! My friend hasn't run into any problems (yet), although I've heard of some problems with CA's guns. Making a quick revision to my post, I'd go G&G because I feel like they're a better-quality company.

Ouch, yeah I'll steer away from that. Note that I have an ICS MP5 on my back so as long as I've got that and a support gunner I should be good from enemy ROF. When it gets cold I'll switch back to my G&G A.E.G. (converting it to a somewhat m14). It'll still take a while to get the dough for the WE though
