NEW MOD

Hi,

Some of you may have picked up on it here in the Forum,

I have been asked to assist and help out here as a MOD, and I said I would be more than happy to help and to do the Job.

Does that Change anything here, In my opinion, NO!!

I will always help out where and when I can, will give out freely and readily all the information that I can, if you have a question and don´t want to post it in the Forum, please feel free to PM me, I will answer as soon as I can.

Some of the things that have really impressed me here, is that overall everybody has a good time, and are really willing and ready to help out, I am no different and will try to keep it going the same way. The atmosphere is easy, no stress, and there are very few cases of people disrepecting each other, lets all keep it that way. We can have a good time taking funny little jabs, and pokes at each other, but don´t be insulting. Admin hasn´t put up with it and neither will I.

With that, am really looking forward to getting to know each and every member here, and if you should think that I am going to Far let me know, I have a really thick skin, and take critisism really well.

What do moderators do?

Moderators help regulate topics:
-delete/edit other peoples posts.
-make sure people are followin the rules
-move posts around to other sections
-Suspend unruley members (such as Slob ) ....not actually positive if they can do this one or not yet, though.

I know this is something that sounds like it would be cool, but the groups are closed, so don't go around asking if you can be a moderator, please

Think of your friendly Moderator as a Referee in the Stanley Cup Play Offs 7th game, all tied, 4 minutes left to play, or as the Ref at a World Cup Match, England-Germany, Overtime, both teams down to 10 players, and its now all or nothing.

We Try to keep the peace, and keep it organized.

Im happy for you slob. It shows our forum is beginning to mature with the addition of newer members and mod's picked out from the registered category.

In the past few days I think I have been the most impressed with this site than I ever had when I first joined. digging facts about airsoft is one of my main treasure hunts right now. Im still learning just about everyday I come here.

What I have especially like about this forum, more than others, the tactical sections is in-depth and easier to grasp than lets say on ASR.

Slob I am very happy for you. I feel very confident when I see that cat with the hoodie patiently twiddling his fingers.

I wouldn't want the responsibility of being a moderator, if you got the idea that that is what I was trying to say, then I just worded my question wrong. I asked just out of curiosity.

thank you for starting this thread. Yes, as you all know already, I have appointed Slob212 as a new forum moderator. It was a tough decision for me to make, as there are many of you who have expressed interest in the position and also are worthy candidates. We've recently had trouble with a few mods and had to do some rearranging, and Slob fit the profile for our current needs the best. I hope none of you feel left out - and know that as the forum continues to grow, so will our need for more mods. So just keep up the good work! Thanks everyone!

And thanks Slob212 for taking up the responsibility and commitment the job requires.

But really, Bavaria is on my list of places to visit, lots of historical memories there and such a beautiful area.

The reason he instantly became a moderator had nothing to do with his connections , fortunately unlike most of the outside world . I do know where you are coming from kkeober , but if you read his posts I think then and only then will you understand why he got to becoma a mod so fast . I would have picked him had I been Admin , he is a smith , he knows an airsoft gun inside out , and he has more knowledge on the sport than most of us here , I think he is qualified enough . Oh , and as for you becoming a mod , if you work hard at it , and become just a little bit more experienced , I do believe that Admin will notice your hard work and effort .

Second, the decision to offer me the position as a Mod here, is strickly up to ADMIN, and personaly I think he explained his reasons why very well, and I will continue to support Him, this Forum, and anybody that asks for help in any and every way that I can.

Almost everybody here has been here longer than I have, for some it may be an insult, an act of favortism, or some may think it was just a bad idea to offer me the Position so fast, all I can say to those that think this way, Time will tell.

All I can do is offer the information, experiance that I have, to help you avoid the mistakes that most players make, reguardless of how long they have been involved in the Hobby/Sport,
If you choose to read it, try it, use it, that is strikly up to you.

I learn something new almost every day in the area of Airsoft, even here, nobody has all the answers, but when enough people come together, usualy somebody has the right answer.

kkoerber, I understand how you feel, and I know where you are comming from, and I am sure that sooner or later you will be teaching me something, just like Sticks.13, and thats what makes a Forum work, everybody helping each other. As ADMIN stated, as this Forum continues to grow, more MODs will be added, keep up the good work and your day will come

i don't think anyone is saying its a bad thing i know i don't and am happy you got the position because you will do a better job then i could have.

Me as well , all of us would like to be a mod deep down , but most of us aren't ready yet .

ya and i don't think you have said a single thing that has not gone well with any of the other members.
