| Very nice gun. The one thing that I noticed on your gun was the orange tip. It seems a little different. What happened to it? | |

| I chronos at 460 with 0.28's..
I wrapped the orange tip with brown florist tape. It's non adhesive, the stuff sticks to itself with friction. I can just peel it off I want, but I really don't want to stand out, if you know what I mean..

| Oh yeah, with regard to upgrades.. I put in a bit heavier spring, a tight bore barrel and upgraded the hop/up. | |

| The scope is an AO (American Optical). 3-9 magnification (zoom) x 40 mm objective, it's nice and bright. The objective is focusable for distance as well from 10 yds to infinity. I'm really impressed with it. It ran me $46.00 at www.weaponblender.com . I think they're selling them for $49.00 now but include a second set of mount rings. The scope rings I got at www.airgundepot.com for $10.00 . I needed something for a picatinny rail, the mount that came with the scope was set-up for weaver. | |

| What I like:
The ergonomics of the grip. I have never held a rifle that was so comfortable. Consequently I can hold on target for a much longer period of time waiting for the right shot. I can easliy sit on target for 10 minutes if necessary without cramping or discomfort. The comfort also contributes to enhancing my ability to hold steady, I don't get "sewing machine arm" after a while. I can smoothly pan with the target and keep 'em in the crosshairs.
Longer, tighter barrel. Dead on accuracy and great mussel velocity.
Weight. Yeah it's heavy, but again that adds to accuracy. More mass means less barrell deflection when the trigger is squeezed.
What i don't like:
Not much.
The resin (plastic) stock in not too pretty and I'm concerned as to how well it will stand up to winter conditions.
The bolt action has kind of a long throw, I'd like something a bit shorter.

| Pros ,
I like almost every thing bout my UTG L-96 , it has great accuracy , and a high fps rating . The stock is sturdy , and the hard ABS plastic . I like how the price was easy to afford , yet the quality of the gun itself is outstanding .
Cons ,
Heavy , but again adds to the acuracy of the weapon .
Bipod isn't that sturdy , and wobbles around alot .
The scope isn't as great as I would like it to be , but that will soon to be changed once I buy a new scope .

| I don't use the bipod anyway. I'm usually seated and that gives me the ability to pan and track my targets. | |

| I have more of a steady aim with the bipod , so thats good for me . I am going to buy another bipod and picanny rail anyway . | |

| I use my bi-pod only when I'm prone and don't have a tree or log that I can balance my gun on. I say that the bi-pod is just a little wavy and isn't very steady. I'm not saying it's bad I'm just saying that I would use it only as a last priority. | |
