| MY friend uses that same box mag on his M16-A3. I will tell you, it has its down sides. It only fires when you are aiming straight out ahead, if there is somebody above you, you're out of luck. It wont fire if you aim up. It also jams quite often. But then again, it IS a box mag, and he NEVER has to reload.
I think it would look/ feel a little weird on an M4. the purpose of an M4 is to get the MOST maneuverability out of your gun, and having a box mag kindof defeats that purpose. It does feel REALLY bulky on your gun. And adds ALOT of weight when fully loaded. | |

| But , if you carry around the box mag and use it only when aboslutely needed , laying down bbs to defend a base , or a team flag during a rousing game of capture the flag for instance , then the box mag would be ideal . | |

| A good point, but carrying around that box-O-bricks is going to be a thorn in the paw! | |

| Agreed , but not if you have the right equippment to carry it with . Duffle bags or light wieght and not very bulky , also tactical book bags are good . My spotter uses a Duffle Bag . | |

| book bag would be the best choice in my opinion. I would dissagree with any sort of duffel bag, because Once again the point of having an M4 is to give you that maneuvurabiliy edge on anybody else. Well you lose that edge with having to carry a bag around. But a book bag would be a decent idea. | |

| He attaches the bag to his belt and fixes it so it does not swing around as much , but still does the job . He has a SAW that he uses both a box mag for laying down a spray of bbs or the M4 mag for getting out of dodge . Then again he is a spotter and doesn't need as much manuverability as a rifleman . | |

| My brother has a similar box mag on his M4. It works fine, don't see any issues.

| hmm $10 for a 5000 rd box mag. that sounds kind off iffy. I would stick with something along the lines of TM. | |

| ya I might end up being a support gunner and i don't want to buy a paratrooper saw that weighs 20 pounds so that if i have to i can still run and not have all of the extra weight not to mention it will save me $100 so i can put that into upgrading the m4. | |

| I know it was a joke. Seriously the C-mags(box mags for non support weapons), are extremely over rated. Just get really good at reloads with normal mags and you will be putting more rounds down range than with any of the M4 C-Mags. 100 rounds on full auto last alot longer than you think.
Oh and the Well does not use standard M4 mags, which means you can't use any of the mags above. However if you spend another $20 you can get a JG M4 or another $50 will get you an Echo 1. I suggest the Echo over the JG but all Well guns suck to the max.

| Can I ask you why you want a box mag in the first place? Just trying to understand not trying to bash you.

| mostly because as you might or might not know lonesniper is making a team and i live by him so we are going to join and he is the sniper for the team and i plan on being the support gunner but i don't want a 20 pound gun that eats allot of ammo now yes i did look at the saws and m249's and i found one but it would cost around 300 and i don't really have the money for that plus everything else i need so i am looking to get a smaller lighter gun and modify it to be about as good as a saw or m249. | |

| The box mag you suggested is the one my brother has. It works great and has sound activated auto wind. No problems with it (it still has the manual wheel in case you run out of battery which is a nice feature)
It holds 3000 rounds maybe a little more but definately not 5000
